If I was the Clippers I would get rid of

Aaron Williams

Sam Cassell

Cuttino Mobley

Tim Thomas

Quinton Ross

I would trade Cuttino Mobley to the Kings for Ron Artest. If the Kings wanted more I would give them someone else as long as the player is not important.

I would trade Aaron Williams and Sam Cassell to the Magic for Darko Milicic.

I would trade Tim Thomas and Quinton Ross to the Wolves for Ricky Davis. I would also throw in anyone else who they wanted besides Elton Brand Corey Maggette and Chris Kaman.

Now the Clippers team would look like this

Elton Brand $15,344,000

Corey Maggette$7,840,000

Chris Kaman $8,600,000

Shaun Livingson(even though he is out) $4,404,628

Paul Davis $687,456

Will Conroy $687,456

Darko Milicic $6,810,302

Ron Artest $7,800,000

Ricky Davis $6,817,500

Then what I would do is try and trade

Paul Davis

Will Conroy

I would trade both of them for anything we can get. What I would want isa future 2nd round pick or money.

Then I would pick up Cedric Bozeman $330,000

The whole team so far costs $43,336,247

Then I would sign free agents

Chauncey Billups for $11,000,000

Smush Parker for $1,000,000

Then I would sign 2 more players that are $330,000 or that big guy from over seas that we have.

Then the whole team would cost $55,996,247

Then for the MLE of $6,000,000 I would sign James Posey or Luke Walton.

This would bring us to around $62,000,000 and last years team was $63,589,335

What do you guys think of this?

Sorry but I disagree with every trade you suggested. I'm dont see the logic behind it and I think the players you want to trade away are better than the one's trading for.

Artest may be better than Mobley, but Mobley is a leader of this team and he wont be a hinderance, while Artest can become one.

Darko?? Sorry he's not proven a damn thing and seems to have very little passion for playing.

Ricky Davis?? not for one of the best defenders, the underrated Quinton Ross. Maybe for only Tim Thomas, but that's just not happening.

Billups would be a good signing, but at what price?? We cant afford him right now and he's not worth trading a bunch of people to free up cap room. Smush Parker would be a mistake to sign. Posey and Walton are possibilities. And I like Cedric Bozeman, but he's not what we need.

Sorry, no hard feelings, I just dont agree.

Q is our defense man and remember guys at the end of the season he lit up the offense. Will Sammie even allow himself to be traded? He may quit. I FOR REAL think Artest is bipolar. Cat -no way. Walton's good but he ain't a PG. Thomas maybe. I'd love to have Billups but I'd also love to date Salma Hayek. Neither is very likely. Thought provoking questions however

The Cedric Bozeman part of it is just a filler position for money reasons. What if we got Darko and Jameer Nelson.

I know this team would have lots of problems with all these crazy guys in the locker room but if they were able to get it together you dont think they have enough talent to win or get out of the first round?

Jameer Nelson is a superstar. I would love to have him, but I dont know how we could get him without giving up too much.

Well its worth a try I guess even if its not going to work. We only have potential to get out of the first round right now if we do good. With that team we have potential to win championships the only problem is it would be tuff to get everyone to get along and stuff but if it worked that team would be so great

I think you're counting Sam out too easily. True he's getting really old but he seems pretty determined to come back strong for next season. I have a feeling he could post similar #s as his first Clipper season. As for Mobley for Artest- it's a tough call but I agree with JLemm. Cat is one of the savvy veterans on the team, and we need his experience big time. Artest is a terrific player but he is a risky asset.

And yeah a definite "heck no!" for Tim Thomas + Q Ross for Ricky Davis. Maybe Tim for Ricky straight up but I can't imagine trading Q Ross away- remember he's our Bruce Bowen. Plus Ricky could be a head case like Artest. He is a terrific player, however.

James Posey sounds interesting- a tough veteran player with championship experience. But the most I think the Clippers should sign him for is like $2 mil/yr.

I want to make a troublesome team because 1 it brings people to the game since you dont know whats going to happen. 2 i think they would end up loving LA and working well here. And 3 they got talent to win. Ive never really been a fan of Mobley Q Ross and Cassel. Well if they would let us keep Q Ross and still get Davis for Tim straight up I would do that.

Oh come on how can you be a Clipper fan and not be a fan of Sam after what he did for us two seasons ago? Wink

I just never liked him. I think hes pretty good but I would just rather do this trade. Do you think the trade is even possible though?-the one I wrote at the begining of this thing

I'm not averse to bringing in players of questionable attitude and seeing how they fit it (like Artest). But I would rather eat Drano than see Ricky Davis as a Clipper. He's a BAAAAD SEED. Remember when he dissed the Clippers with his mocking of the Darius/Quentin head banging? I think many fans remember, since he always gets a loud razzing at Staples.

It's too bad, cuz Richardson and Miles had a neat thing with the headpound. Too bad Miles doesnt play hard and Q has been hampered by back problems. Do you think we could get Q back (3 point shooter)?? I dont know if it'd be worth it, but he will always be my favorite Clipper.

Q Richardson? I'd love to see him back. A good guy. I don't know that he could be a main weapon anymore, but as a role player yes.

Ya I dont really know what happend to Q he was a cool guy. I like Ricky I mean ive never really met him I talked to him at the All Star game when it was in LA and he was cool. Easy for a player to act nice when in that settitng though. What do you think the team would be like though if all that stuff did happen? Better or worse then this years team?

Yeah Q was great for the Clippers- remember when he, Miles, and Odom were with the Clippers? Those were some pretty exciting days. I remember during the end of that one season (2002?) the Clippers just beat the crap out of every team that came to town. Even though they didn't make the playoffs they were dancing on the scorer's table at the end of the final game. And I still contend that the most exciting Clipper play ever was a half court lob Odom caught and did a no-look behind the head dish to a flying Miles for a monster jam. Thinking about that play still gives me the chills- WOW!

Q is often injured nowadays, but it'd be cool to have him back someday. He can still drain the 3 and rebound. I do remember that feud he and Ricky Davis had. After being insulted by Ricky, Q said he'd "destroy Ricky Davis next time". Though it didn't happen- he still got outplayed by Ricky if I remember correctly.

That was a special team, with special magic. They had fun, and we had fun watching them. OK, everybody take two fist and pound their foreheads. It felt good didn't it?

If I was the Clippers right now I would get rid of Tim Thomas, Daniel Ewing, Yaroslav Korolev, James Singleton, Aaron Williams, Will Conroy and work from there by getting better free agents

Ya'll forgot about Kareem Rush who used to play for the Lakers...they traded him away to the Bobcats and then to the Sonics...I havent heard anything from him, but I believe he'd be a nice piece to the growing Clippers puzzle. What ya'll think?
