Hold the presses. Kobe has just told a ESPN writer Ric Buscher that if the Lakers do not bring Jerry West back and give him full authority to run the team, then they need to trade him. This is step farther than the comments he made yesterday in the LA times the just said the team needs to do something fast. It also is a vote of no confidense for GM Kupcake. Will the Clippers make a play for Kobe. Even if the Lakers were under pressure they would trade Kobe back east. Jerry West's contract with Memphis is up in one month. Problem is that his two biggest assets that are trade bait are Lamar Odom and Kwame Brown who just both went under the knife and will not be ready for 3 or 4 months and will be hard to trade while broken down. Wow! So who do you guys want to trade for kobe?

I find it funny that now all of a sudden Kobe "wants to win". If winning (instead of being the "hero" of his team) were is #1 priority he would've signed with the Clippers a couple years ago. Now he's whining about not having enough help- that's just comical.

Yeah, he would have been surrounded by Elton, Corey, Shaun, Chris and Sam. There could have been great chemistry there. I think that Brand would have complimented Kobe the same way that I think KG would play well with him. Two great players who have two completely different games that would blend well. What a concept.

That would've been a crazy scary team! But I think as is we could still be a very scary team as is- just need some very good PG play and some sort of "X factor".

I would rather have the Ghost of Xmas Past. His enormous talent is majorly dwarfed by his infantile behavior. It would be an insult to our warriors to be his peons. Of course we all know 24 is simply 42 backwards (or is it 42's backside) and I hope he backs away from our team as fast as possible

I think we can win without him, like david says, but I dont think he would hurt the team with his play. He does more than just shoot the ball, although many people forget that. But none-the-less, I hope we stick with what we're doing.
