I just wonder why so many people are mad about Mobley leaving, yes he is a good defender but he held us back offensively with his isolated plays. Thomas backing up in the post was also a negative for us as well to many players standing around watching. Yesterday's offense just flowed so smoothly, more touches and a balanced front court scoring. I really think the problem is Dunleavys minutes and rotation. He worry's to much about match up's. How about this since shooting guard is are weakest link now. How about changing the rotation. I really feel that limiting R.Davis limits will be more productive for our team. The answer : not give extended minutes to Gordon ( although is semi-productive) aggresive to the line cant actually make freethrow's when he get's there. Has the most range outside the arc with no fear to launch..... But i think the answer is to give minutes to Baron at the two-guard yes you read me right B-diddy at the two, cut Hart's minutes and have Mike Taylor play point this alllowing Davis to be more aggresive without having to focus so much on the offense. Davis can hit open shots as well as set big screens i think he can excell in limited minutes at the two. also allows us to have two ball handlers who can bring the ball up the court.... ( in less than five second) wink

That may be something Dunleavy should think about. Baron already takes a SG approach to shot selection. And Ricky is just brutal right now. Mobley's absence really shows that although he lost a step, his adequate defense was the best we had. Gordon will become a sturdy defender, but he's got a ways to go.

Well if we had Quinton Ross right now this wouldn't be a problem. The fact that we let him go when he was so cheap could be one of the dumber decisions we have made. If Q ross was here he would surely be a solid starting 2 guard we need! Especially because he commands no shots. Only hits em when he needs to. Alot like Camby does.

He could also mentor Gordon in hustle and defense and intangibles.

ross would help the d but still not scoring.

i posted this in the other post.

ricky looks lost and till he finds himself or gordon is ready to be consistant(he is too mistake prone)

we can go with 2 pg line. that would help the ball movement too(anyone notice how crappy our shots get when the ball isnt moving?)

so either hart or taylor to start. i LIke taylor but prob him being rook he is not ready for the job yet. so hart would get a try.

what does everyone think of this?

It seems the concensus that we aren't getting a new SG. Everyone forgets how many times Cat was our only scorer and the iso's did work. He had very little downside so to say "no great loss" is a bit of an overstatement. If we still had Mobley life would be good. I love Q but remember last yr he couldn't hit his toe so he was a huge problem on offense because they never guarded him and he ended up taking and missing shots. I'd trade Ricky for him. All above scenarios will work. It's strange that Ricky sucks. He should snap out. Usually players don't change that fast. Maybe Ricky will still start with the hope he'll finally light it up and if not, Gordon gets the nod quick

well think about it this way the best fight to counter punch our weak defense at the two is to play great offense. Atleast having Baron there will keep the defense honest. with R. Davis out there teams can free lance since R. Davis is no offensive threat....and no jumpshot as well....

I don't see what this love with Q ross is still about. People the guy can't score his offense is worse than R.D. He also never got respect from the ref's and that's worse than no repect from other players. He killed us much the same way Ricky is doing now with his lack of any offensive threat any surprise when Dunleavy falls in love with a player he's in for good or atleast till his contract is up. gordon is doing fine yes he makes mistakes but we can't nit pick every little thing he does wrong. Then we should break down player by player. Atleast he makes up for his mistakes, he get a steal here or there a drive to the basket for freethrows, or a nice threee point shot. Atleast he counter's his mistakes ricky on the other hand is walking dead out on the court and killing our team's little chemistry we have left. Kaman said in the Times we should have beat this team with our squad we were not shorthanded that's using excuses. I agree we should have atleast 4 more win to our name. Dunleavy is killing our rotation with his love affair of R.D..........................................
