Our worst move last year in the offseason was not taking Radmonovic's offer and taking Tim Thomas. That's not a good move because of that we need a true small forward. We can make that up in this years NBA Draft 2007 Stay tuned. Radmonovic was good at spreading out the defense by hitting the perimeter shot and getting to the free-throw charity stike.

In my opinion, Thomas does a better job than Radman. I dont belive Thomas was the best decision to sign to a contract, but Radman has pretty much done nothing with the Lakers. Thomas did a lot of scoring off the bench last year, I just wish he would be more consistent and efficient when in the game.

The only thing wrong with the logic behind thinking that we should have kept VladRad, is that Laker fans believe he is the biggest bust and waste of money in decades. He came back from a hand injury very slowly and was mostly ineffective most of the season. Then after he finally got healthy, he injured himself in a snow skiing accident. He violated his contract in doing so, and was suspended by the Lakers. Why in the world would you think that it would have been a great idea to have spent money on that. He ended the season with the fans and management very angry at his actions, and reports are that the Lakers are trying to unload him and his salary.

Radmonovic or Thomas? They're basically both inept. They're both examples of why I'm NOT in favor of giving long term deals to players who have "proven" themselves after just one season (or if you're someone like Isiah Thomas, over the course of one playoff series). Especially if their level of play occurs during a contract season.

If I had to compare the two, I would say Rad has more strikes against him since he thinks of himself as a starter. Not realizing that his game should be based more on being a Sixth Man who can come off the bench and provide instant offense through streaky shooting. Tim is a better rebounder and has some interior moves -- though both players play matador defense. Also, Tim Thomas signed for one less year and less money then what Vlad asked for from the Clippers, so I'm thankful we went with Tim instead.

And for you Kobe Lovers out there (and they're aren't many here Wink), don't feel sorry for him for the team he's on. Kobe won't admit it, but was responsible for many of the trades the Lakers were involved in. Kobe wanted Vlad on the Lakers. Kobe was calling Vlad daily promising him a better future, a starting position. So now Kobe has Vlad as a teammate.

Personally I think Thomas was pretty valuable to us last season. He filled in pretty well as a starter, and a lot of games the Clippers got separation from their opponent when he got hot and drained like 3 or 4 bingos in a row. We definitely need him as a long range threat. His post-up game is definitely more iffy and inconsistent- I wish he'd stop shooting so much those tough turnaround fadaways in the post.

As far as he vs. Vlad- it's a little hard to decide- both are deadly shooters. But I'd give Tim the edge because of his experience, especially in the playoffs.

Either way, I think both of these guys are better coming off the bench as a 6th man. However, they are both capable of playing a starting role in a pinch. VladRad needs to get his brain fixed first, and then he will be OK. He has the physical talent.

Yea but Thomas needs to be more athletic and quick around the ball and improve with his shot selection he is a turnover prone at times. Thomas has a lot of work to do over the summer.
