If you're a clipper fan you're wondering why we aren't doing well these years this is why we keep not keeping some of our core guys and we keep making mistakes in the draft which is able us not to land a NBA Superstar or a good player. If we wanna get better Clipper Management needs to build up as a team and grow with players this will help us get more superstars and grow as a team. If we keep continuing to do the bad habits we can never succeed as a Clipper franchise one of the worst franchise in sports history. We can turn that around if we can put our head and feet together we saw that in 2005-06 but how about for 2007-08 we'll just have to see. We do have a Playoff Cabiler Team but we need lil more production from Kaman, Mobley, Maggettee, Brand, and Cassell a lil bit from the bench too and keep Hart too. This is true if we can land in another superstar like Carter, Iverson, or Kidd I think we'll have a new Clipper dynasty. Problem is Sterling likes to spend money on mid level players and not keep good players. Look at the San Antonio Spurs they have 2 superstars Duncan and Parker and we have none. Shaq is a superstar and draws more fans onto the court. That's what we need. But if we want to have superstars we need Brand and Maggette to play like All-Star Potential like in 2005-06 season if we can land Garnett I think we should be in good shape to contend for the Western Conference championship.

Well, we may not have a Nash, a Parker, a Nowitzki, a Duncan, a Shaq, a Kobe, a Garnett or an Iverson. We do have a TEAM, and although having a superstar added to this team would help tremendously, I believe we have enough talent to compete with the league. We competed in 05-06. We we SO CLOSE to beating the Suns and probably could have made things interesting or even beat Dallas. I know we all wanna jump at a "trade" or some monster free-agent signing, to make things all better...but making that kind of transaction doesnt guarantee success. The Clippers playing as a team and maximizing their abilities will. The talent may not be at the TOP of the league, but talent alone does nothing but dissapoint.

And think of how young some of these players are. They've needed to grow. Last Year was a growing year. They needed to experience defeat, new challenges and personal growth. Ever hear of the sophomore slump? Well that's common with rookies in their 2nd season because the growth is taking place. It's all up to the Clippers players, as to how they'll do next season. We can all sit at our desks, behind our computer screens and tell each other what the Clippers are supposedly doing wrong, but the only thing that will change the outcome of the Clipper's franchise this season and the following, is OUT OF OUR CONTROL.

Hang in there SteelLAC2010...we're in the offseason and I know you're itching to find a solution, because youre a Clippers fan. The solution can be found within (by the players). But maybe an opportunity to IMPROVE and not DISSASSEMBLE the team we already have by adding a superstar or making a smart decision on draft day, can help to turn the tables on what you mentioned as the Clippers track record of one of the worst franchises.

Sorry for my sudden flurry of words. The offseason dead-zone time really gets to ya.

They got a hard offseason this offseason. Our problem is turnovers too. We got to have a point guard to lead this team like a Steve Nash or a Jason Kidd type of player. Someday Livingston is going to be like em but it might not happen due to the major injury might take away from his abilities. It'd be hard to make a comeback from that injury he suffered from February.

In the absense of a good point guard, you're gonna need 4 very solid players at the other positions. Having a great PG narrows the need to have great players at every position. A solid scorer, a dependable big man and a floor general and you can fill in the rest with decent vets and youngsters...that spells success usually. It really helps to have the point settled, and how the Clips address that situation may determine the true identity of this team.
