Best available for #14- I don't think Law will be available at #14 number of reasons Hawks might draft him and his stock has moved up. For N.Young his stock might move up to which leaves for the New Orleans Hornets to draft him as well. For Julian Wright he'll be at from 6 to 11. So far it's getting down the wire. If you're looking for an NBA ready player pick Wright or Stuckley if you're looking for a timely developing need pick Crittenton.

PG/SG: Nick Young

bkup Rodney Stuckley

SF: Julian Wright

bkup Thaddeus Young

bkup Al Thorton

PG: Alice Law

bkup Javaris Crittenton

Other interesting names include Rodney Stucky (PG), Jason Smith (C), Thaddeus Young (SF), Rudy Fernandez (SG), Josh McRoberts (C) and Nick Fazekas (C).

The Clippers also own the 45th pick in the draft where getting quality talent is more of a crapshoot where players like DJ Strawberry, Russell Carter (SG), Coby Karl (SF) and Zoran Erceg (PF) may be available.

The 45th selection is likely dependent on the 14th pick . . . and of course who is still available midway through the second round.

If Fazekas were around at 45, he'd be a solid pick up. His ability to shoot from outside would balance well with Brand's inside game.

The Western Conference is getting tougher and tougher each year. It's going to take a lot for the Clippers to make a playoff run. They're frankly not that far from achieving it . . . but they'll need to find a way to get and stay healthy.

Key Player(s): Elton Brand (Forward), Sam Cassell (Guard), Chris Kaman (Center), Shaun Livingston (Guard), Corey Maggette (Forward/Guard), Cuttino Mobley (Guard), Quinton Ross (Forward), Tim Thomas (Forward).

Team Needs: Outside shooting, small forward and help on the boards for Brand.

Draft picks: 1st round (14th overall), 2nd round (45th overall).

reason why is is that he plays point guard and shooting guard he would be be able to backup Mobley or Cassell he's a pretty good player entering to thursday's NBA draft he's an NBA comparison to Dajuan Wagner.

Good job on that analysis. You hit on the important things and organized our team in parts.

I say Rudy Fernandez, but Law, Crittenton, Stuckey, & Young all sound good too. I'm just hoping somehow we can get Jared Dudley in the 2nd round if we do pick a pont guard in the first round. Very low chance though- Dudley is probably going to go in the late first or early 2nd.

All great comments guys. K Fresenko at 45 is a steal if we can get him. Fazekas obviously is a steal at 45, but I actually think he is so good that he belongs in the middle of the first round. Go look at his numbers. In pre draft camp and in almost every workout against competition he was hitting 75% from the 3. Nick Young is the only player they brought back for a second workout and that was after watching him play in LA a couple of dozen times. If he is on the board at 14, it will be Nick.

Nick Young would work very well, and if he's there at 14, he's gotta be taken. With Sammy saying he's totally ready to play for a championship, I tend to believe him. I think he'll start and maybe we'll get Jason Hart back or Mo Williams to split minutes. Nick Young and Cat can split at SG, with Guillermo Diaz helping out.

It looks like it's either draft a PG, or draft a SG and sign a PG. Law, Young or Stuckey is what I'm hoping for.

Thanks for the info on that C. Havent heard of him before, but we do need a solid backup at Center. Aaron Williams and Paul Davis arent really the answers, and Tim Thomas is not a center, although he was used as one last year.
