AHH!!! It's finally almost here!!! Law IV, N. Young, T. Young, Crittendon, Stuckey, Fernandez, Kopponen ???? Who will it be ??

I'll be getting done with work just about the time it starts, and I hope to stay up for quite a while to hear feedback from my fellow Clipper fans.

Also...rumor has it the Hawks are willing to trade there #11 pick for Luke Ridnour...so Acie Law may still be available for us, because it looked as if #11 to Atlanta would be where he ends up.

This is my mock draft of how I think things will shake up in the top 14:

  1. Portland (Greg Oden)

  2. Seattle (Kevin Durant)

  3. Atlanta (Al Horford)

  4. Memphis (Yi Jianlian)

  5. Boston (Mike Conley)

  6. Milwaukee (Corey Brewer)

  7. Minnesota (Brandan Wright)

  8. Charlotte (Spencer Hawes)

  9. Chicago (Julian Wright)

  10. Sacramento (Jeff Green)

  11. Atlanta (Acie Law)

  12. Philadelphia (Jason Smith)

  13. New Orleans (Nick Young)

  14. LA Clippers (Rodney Stuckey)

I think Joakim Noah will drop out of the lottery as every team finds a better guy to pick than him. But I hope someone like Sac-town takes him, hehe!!!

POST YOUR MOCK DRAFTS BELOW !!!! We'll see who does the best!!! A little friendly competition.

Here are mine predictions- not too different from yours JLemm:

  1. Portland (Greg Oden)

  2. Seattle (Kevin Durant)

  3. Atlanta (Al Horford)

  4. Memphis (Mike Conley)

  5. Boston (Yi Jianlian)

  6. Milwaukee (Corey Brewer)

  7. Minnesota (Brandan Wright)

  8. Charlotte (Joakim Noah)

  9. Chicago (Spencer Hawes)

  10. Sacramento (Jeff Green)

  11. Atlanta (Acie Law)

  12. Philadelphia (Al Thornton)

  13. New Orleans (Nick Young)

  14. LA Clippers (Rodney Stuckey)

I think people see Noah as sort of a Anderson Varejao type player who's actually pretty valuable, so I think he'll probably go in the top 12- maybe to Charlotte at #8. I think Dunleavy was talking about Acie Law when he said something to the effect that he would love to fill a need at PG and that he's hoping that the player he wants falls to #14. So if he's available I think the Clippers will take him. If both Law and Stuckey are gone then maybe they'll go for a Nick Young instead or maybe Javaris Crittenton. I'm still hoping that they'd take Rudy Fernandez and that Rudy will come over this year, but it doesn't sound like it's gonna happen. But we'll see in less than 24 hours- exciting stuff!

Sorry again guys, It will be Nick Young. New Orleans will grab the player who falls, maybe even Noah, leaving Nick Young for us. The Clips will bring in a PG with experience or sign Jason Hart again. But I like both of your Mocks. Dave you got Noah dropping to 8 and J43 you have Noah dropping out of the lottery. I actually agree with J43, I have been saying that Noah is the guy who is most likely to drop, not Acie Law as has been reported. Noah does not shoot very well when he gets more that 6 ft from the bastket and can't hit free throws. His numbers in every category dropped last season over the season before. He is to one dimensional. I think he falls. Also look for the Clips to take K Fresenko, the 7'1" Ukranian Center in the second round if he is still on the board. We will have to be lucky for him to drop that far, but the scouting reports say he is the sleeper in that round. Tomorrow will be exciting. Get a good nights sleep if you can.
