First off f*ck the Cardinals and those cheating @$$ refs for not calling the clear pass interference when the Eagels had the ball on 4th down. Won't matter anyway the Cards will get beat by the Steelers or Ravens hopefully by the Steelers.

Cards are nothing like the clippers. On top of that don't think the Cards have been considered the worst team in the NFL for quite some time mostly average compared to other teams like the Lions or Raiders.

Call is questionable both ways, receiver pushed off first so i understand the call or non-call.

As for the clippers i think the Cardinals comparison is perfect... you said there are two teams worse than them Raiders and Lions. Well i can name two worse than the Clips: Thunder and Wizards, (minnesota is right there too). I like the comparison and would love if it became a reality!

It's a longer list just used two for example 49ers, Chiefs, Rams, and Bengals are teams that are held to lower expectations than the Cards on a season to season basis. From NFL to NBA perception The Cards are considered an average team (considered a joke in the playoffs due to their lack of determination in the last few weeks leading to the post-season), outside of the one playoff season I don't think the Clippers are held to the average team standord from fans or media. From NBA teams Chicago, Golden State, Denver,Philly, are teams people think can have a nice season but won't have much of an effect outside of that even if they slip into the playoffs I'd personally put those teams in comparison to the Cardinals.

As The Clippers stand right now I'd compare us to the Bengals Very talented team but injuries and lack of execution and at times poor chemistry hurts them. These are teams that beat themselves more than any other team can due to events happening every season.

Clippers can make the playoffs next season and every season after that but they have to get a CONSISTENT winning attitude first. How long that takes is still up in the air.

I think Icecold is right. But I wish the Clipps were like my team. My team right now is probably like the Magic, Hornets, or Nuggets. Really good but not quite there yet. Lets go Chargers!!!

sorry guys but based on the history of the sonics and the t wolves the clippers are equivalent to the detriot lions fanchise we are like that team defintly not comparable to a once pretty good sonic franchise as well as t wolves who have actually been to the finals with KG. I wish I could compare us to cardinals but not yet

Ugh! Do not remind me of the Cardinals. We are not comparable to the Cardinals. The Cards are going to their sport's championship game. We have never even been to a conference championship. My fav NFL team is the Eagles btw if you haven't already noticed.

When I see the Cardinals I see a good, but not great team that is over achieving with a fossil at the helms.

That is the 05-06 Clippers in a nutshell with Sam Cassell at the point.

Even have a custom avatar on a Cards message board to prove it!

Note: If my favorite 2 teams are not enough proof that I am not a bandwagoner, I don't know what to tell you!

hail the great one, Kurt Warner!!!!!!

Well since my Falcons lost to the NFC champions, I don't feel so bad right now.

The Cardinals are nothing like the Clippers.

The have ayoung rookie coach who the players feed off of

And a veteran QB (PG) at the helm who knows how to handle winning, and has a good head on his shoulders.

And their offense is HOT as ours is NOT!

^^ you do know he was talking about the History & comparison of both teams through the years, right? I think his point was " if it took the cards this long to make to the "big dance", should we dare to dream?"

The thing I've noticed with NFL teams that have turned their franchise around from last season, is a change in the head coach. Look at Miami and Baltimore. Those teams also had the right mix of veterans and young guns... which may also be comparable to the Clips..

I don't know if I'm taking this post too seriously, but here it goes...

There's no real basis for a comparision here.

The Cards have BONA-FIDE superstars in Warner, Fitzgerald, and Boldin. The Clippers haven't yet got anyone to build a franchise around, that could change with Blake Griffin or something.

Also, it's a LOT easier to get to the Superbowl, than it is to get to the NBA Finals. All you have to do is win some games in the NFL, you don't have to win series. It's all about which team is the hottest at which point in the season for the NFL playoffs, I mean seriously, if the Cards and the Panthers had played 7 times, the Panthers would probably win about 5 or 6 of them. I give them credit for making Delhomme look like a fool, but Carolina is clearly superior in all facets of the game (sans maybe the pass).

So that's why this thread makes no sense to me.

baron davis

zach randolph

marcus camby

chris kaman

hell, eric gordon and al thornton

besides, the cardinals have had most of their players for years now (lots of 4-12, 5-11, 6-10 seasons. it wasnt until the past two seasons that they became DECENT (9-7 is not good). its just a matter of taking a streak to the playoffs.

But you can't build a franchise around those guys. None of those players are good enough to be the very best player on a championship contender.

It's why I'm not a fan of the Zach Randolph deal. He wasn't going to get the Clippers to a contending level. If a franchise is going to cripple itself financially like they did taking Randolph's contract, it better be the move that puts them over the top...not one that gives them a small chance (it appeared at the time) to just get into the playoffs.
