JamFan you know I love to give to all the Clippernation my thoughts and opinions about the players I have watched playing in Europe lately...Well, Santiago played last year for Unicaja Malaga, maybe his second or third straight season...Maybe you could remember him because he usually plays with glasses. In fact, he has been injured some time because of his eyes...Playing here in Spain he was specially important at the defensive end mainly because of his lenght...He has good size, he can take rebounds and he can shot block and deflect many shots...He isn't specially quick but is quicker than most of the 7-1's...Offensively I think he's more limited. He hasn't been a main factor in Spain offensively never, despite his lenght...He usually try to score with a hook and another moves but nothing else...In my opinion he won't get a spot in our squad and he he'll continue his career overseas although he's a player that wants to play in NBA.

Are You talking about Daniel Santiago??? He played with the Bucks in 05-06. I have no idea why he played in Spain last year, but if I remember he's a good player and probably has a big chance to make the team if they decide another big man is needed.
JamFan: Hey, At best the Clips might just be looking for a back up center. So Santiago does not need to be a first tier center this season to back up Kaman. He is just insurance. We'll see during summer league if he is a young project worth keeping around.
