It was posted on *** no Spam***. Don't know how Gary Grant would have insider info, but man, I got excited just reading it. Take it for what it's worth, but please....please let it be true!!!

Wow, that is exciting. I like him a lot, and I think it would take him a year to get a feel for the coaching job, but he definitely has gotten some experience watching and analyzing a lot of basketball as a commentator. I wonder what Mike Dunleavy would say about this.

But yeah, that would be cool, Marc seems like a guy who is going to get along with the players really well

Can it be? Can we finally have a new coach to lead this team? Can Dunleavy finally be gone? I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about the endless possibilities with a new coach. Somebody pinch me. This is too good to be true.

Yes, and at this point, I'm all for letting him learn on the job. Rookie coaches like Vinny Del Negro and Scott Brooks are doing a decent job. Mark seems like he would be a player's coach with a PG's mentality, which would benefit guys like Baron, Taylor, and even EJ.

Wow that would be pretty interesting. Still not easy being a coach especially when you've never done it before. But after these 2 seasons (injuries aside) it would at least bring some fresh new tactics and shake things up....hopefully for the better. Though can't get much worse than this.

Yeah but if this were going to happen I'd rather have it happen now so he has this season to play around. According to the article it says next year (I assume they meant next season) We don't want to go into a 3rd straight season like this.

NOT TRUE! This is a ploy by a start up website trying to spread a "word of mouth" rumor to create traffic.

if there was any truth to it, id hope it was

My thoughts exactly. I'd love to have Mark Jackson, but these guys are just posting numerous fake posts.

Pretty sad.

Regardless of true or not the Clippers will be looking at any and all candidates for a job at the helm. It may take all offseason but the Clippers need to make sure they get it right this time, also it may help to include the players in the process of the coaching choice.

Do we really think Sterling is gonna pursue another head coach while MD is still under contract? If he didn't make the move during this terrible season while MD has been on the "hot seat" why do it after?

It's a moot point. Nothing will happen and if it did, I really don't see Jackson coming here. Wasn't he recently mentioned as a candidate for the Knicks job in which he vehemently said he wasn't interested in coaching? This while commentating a Nat. televised game on ABC?

If he wasn't interested in coaching then, why would he be now? And if he was a player during the "cheap years" with us, why would he decide to come back and coach for Sterling?

I don't see it...never will.

So he doesn't have to pay the new coach for the remainder of the season. If he is planning on a new coach, waiting till the offseason would at least save some money.

I really hope you're wrong. Haven't you ever woke up one day from a great dream and wish it were true? Well this is my ONE great dream.

This sounds like a totally false rumors with no credible source- please refrain from posting rumors of this sort in the future.

Thanks CJ for getting on top of this!

I'd be thrilled to have Jackson as our coach. Hes an intelligent person and an intelligent player. However just because he was a great player doesn't mean he will be a great coach. Sadly I wish he was our coach when we drafted Shaun to help mentor him ( and if he didnt get hurt ) he may be a better player today.

If we get Jackson I'd love to see Avery Johnson, Lindsey Hunter or Sam Cassell on our asst. coach roster.
