Lets trade for Jesus. Ray allen really came back last year and is a proven star to play along Baron in the backcourt. Gordon can come off the bench and be the best 6th man in the nba while tearing up the opponents B team. Might be able slide ray to three at times with baron and gordon in the backcourt. I wonder if the Celtics would take Kaman,Camby, and or Zbo. If we switch to an uptempo offense with ray ray, I think we can be like the Baron Davis Warriors. If anything at least fun too watch, which is pretty much us what loyal clippers fans will settle for. I think that team would be a playoff team. We need some outside shooting and a proven star like ray to play with the young guys. Imagine a fast break coming at you with Baron pushing the ball up with Blake up ahead and Ray and Gordon spotting up. Baron would be able to do what ever he wanted because any team would get burned if they helped out on D. I hope we keep Camby and Trade either Kaman or Zbo or even both to get this deal done. We just need to find some good defensive role players in the offseason to have a really nice squad. Better than the Wizards were when Gilbert was healthy, and they were pretty good. Deandre can easily be the next Camby with his Mentorship. Dj Is pretty big and allready a proven shot blocker in his limited minutes. Say hello to RAY AND BLAKE and Good bye to Kaman +--Zbo Maybe we can get leon Powe or a pick. If all our money is in Baron, well LET PLAY BARON BASKETBALL!!!!!! We can probably get Ray allen and another good player(like Hinrich) from another team if we give up ZBO(NO DFENSE, KNUCKLHEAD) and Chris Caveman Intelligence Kaman. We have baron for 5 more years and he is untradeable so lets let athleticism overwhelm teams instead of trying to post up Kaman who cant pass. Zbo is good but he is a huge defensive liability aswell ass baron is. We dont need to of those guys on the floor at the same time. We need the James posey's The Shane Battier, Paul Millsap, type of players that play hard everynight whether their jumpshots our going in or not.
PG BARON HINRICH(HOPEFULLY) TAYLOR
SG RAY ALLEN GORDON FRED JONES
SF AL RICKY COLLINS
PF BLAKE NOVAK POWE(MaYBE)
C CAMBY DEANDRE SKINNER

Ray Allen is available? Says who?

"LETS PLAY BARON BASKETBALL" is a pretty big risk after what he did last season. I like the idea, just it depends if Baron gets in shape and starts making/not shooting as many 3's
The thing i don't liek about Ray is his consistancy, especially if he was gonna start for us. He could drop 2 or 30 on any given night, taking the same amount of shots.

I find it hard to believe the Celtics have Ray Allen available. Allen was the reason the Celtics landed Garnett. I really don't see the Celtics getting rid of one of the big three for at least the next couple seasons.
I agree we need to play Baron basketball. hopefully Baron will be back to his GSW vs Mavs form and be able to throw some sweet lobs to Griffin. All our team really needs is team chemistry(look at the Dodgers now that Kent is gone and not criticizing the young players) we have the talent.

Yah i doubt that Ray is 100% available.
With the very high level of play he's shown the past cpl years, even though he's not the youngest guy, proves his value is crazy and they should keep him until his contract runs out.

Here's the article:
For the past few days we've been hearing rumors that the Boston Celtics might be willing to part with Ray Allen before the start of the 2009-2010 season. HOOPSWORLD asked around in Chicago, where the majority of NBA executives were taking a look at most of the first round draft prospects, and managed to find out a few more details. We have now added to those, with the help of WEEI's Jessica Camerato in Boston.
Off the record, we have several sources telling us that Ray Allen is, indeed, on the block. It's easy to make the leap, as....
i believe they are both available but think the clipps are better off without them. From the rep Rondo has might not be a good locker room presence and Allen will just stunt Gordon's development.
Better off with a trade for RJ from the bucks or Miller from the Twolves

Gordon(a shooter) learning from arguably the greatest shooter in the NBA wouldn't "STUMP" his development...
and gordon coming off the bench for a ray Allen would feel like sitting on a Peruvian mountain top smoking a bowl...
he would outplay any back up in the NBA and WOULD be the 6th man of the year...hands down

I agree, Gordon isn't the best catch-and-shoot guy coming off screens, Ray could really help him, same with free throws

Nothing is going to stunt gordon's development. I think he was the rookie of the year last year. Once he got minutes he showed how great of a scorer and defender he is. I believe he might have just turned 20 years old recently and was a fearless rookie(something you cant teach). He is a huge weapon for us and i think ray can help him develop. I love Eric Gordon and he is a hard competitor and a hard worker. He is confident but not full of himself. he is allways talking about getting better is not a premadonna shot jacker. He basically has unlimited range on his J and he is a little undersized but built like a rock. So lets let him get better with ray teaching him. Plus Allen comes off the book after next year so if we want to hand the team to him, that would be the best time because we would have a ton of caproom if we get rid of Kaman and Zbo along with ray coming off the books in the 2010 sweepstakes. Maybe we can finally lure Yao, Amare, Bosh, etc... Shoot I wouldnt mind getting an older tim duncan or kg either.

RICHARD JEFFERSON IS A PROVEN LOSER. SO IS MIKE MILLER. WE NEED PROVEN WINNING TALENT ON THIS TEAM.. AL THORNTON IS ALLREADY ON THE LEVEL OF A RICHARD JEFFERSONS SKILLSET. MIKE MILLER IS NICE, BUT WE ALLREADY HAVE A SHARP SHOOTING WHITE GUY THAT GAVE US THE BEST WIN OF THE YEAR LAST YEAR. WE SHOULD RUN MORE AND USE NOVAK TO SPREAD THE FLOOR. WE ARE BASICALLY PAYING NOVAK and THORNTON PEANUTS compared to how much RJ and Mike Miller make. PLUS I THINK RICHARD JEFFERSON AND KENYON MARTIN SHOULD GIVE HALF OF ALL THIER MONEY TO JASON KIDD SINCE HE IS THE ONE THAT GOT THEM THOSE MONSTER CONTRACTS FOR THOSE ONE DIMENSIONAL PLAYERS. GO IN YOUR LIVING ROOM THEN JUMP AND TAP THE DOORWAY. THATS HOW EASY IT WAS THOSE GUYS PLAYING WITH KIDD WHEN HE PUTS THE BALL RIGHT THERE ON TOP OF THE MOULDING AND THE DOOR WAY IS SO EASY TO JUMP UP TO AT YOUR HEIGHT.

yes i remember richard jefferson helping the back 2 back finals nets (2nd leading scorer) as a proven loser ...
he's just in a baron davis situation with playing for a coach that gives u no motivation

HE CANT SHOOT, DRIBBLE, OR PASS. LAST TIME I CHECKED THAT WAS PRETTY IMPORTANT IN THIS GAME. PLUS THAT WAS LIKE IN 2000 2001 AND YOUR TELLING ME HE HAS GOTTEN BETTER? HE IS JUST ANOTHER MAGGETTE AND COREY WAS GARBAGE, BUT HE SURE LOOKED THE PART OF A STAR.

i like the idea of ray allen ONLY for his veteran leadership (something this team DESPERATELY needs). too bad he's expensive and plays gordo's position. on the other hand, if he were down for a paycut to join the league's worst team and ride the bench in the process (while mentoring gordo) that would be magic. and impossible.

Ray is available? According to who?
Let's be honest, every player is "available."
Even LeBron is available if you give up enough.

Ray Allen great leadership veteran with great catch and shoot skills. Silkest jumper in the league. i would love for Jesus Shuttlesworth to come out and play for our Clipps. He would NOT stump EG's development. Only make him a better shooter than he is. EG's FT's are great. No need in fixing anythign there. I wouldnt want Rondo tho if he's such a head case. Weve got Baron for that.
Eddie House... Dont think so on that. Sure he provided great energy as a shooter off the bench but he strives in teh Celtic offense.

So hilarious how everyone gets so crazy and jumps all over my comment on how Gordon's development would not be stunted but would only improve. Well if you look at the history of the NBA guys that breakout and then get benched usually does stunt their development. Gordon is ready to be a starter and not play second fiddle to Ray Allen. I dont care what anyone says but the guy not only needs the minutes but earned them. Look at his starter vs. off the bench #'s/ The guy clearly plays much better as a starter. So now again how is everyone so sure it would just be so great because he needs a mentor? Come on that works for a player like DJ who is really raw or out of control, but EJ has the maturity of a 35 year old and such a sweet shooting stroke and shooting touch.
In response to the "we already have a white shooter who won our bst game" first off, who cares if they are white or black, (please dont answer thats a rhetorical question), and are you seriously going to say Steve Novak is comparable to Mike Miller? Did you see how novak played after logging in a few starts and serious minutes? Horrible. I wish some people would actually back what they are saying with realistic thinking or maybe even facts.
