Good to see Daniel sign on with a team despite being in Russia:

Daniel Ewing, who played for the NBA outfit the Los Angeles Clippers last season, has signed for Russian side Khimki. Daniel Ewing, LA Clippers - 0

The former Duke player was released by the Clippers in the summer despite making over 60 appearances last season.

The 24-year-old shooting guard has now signed a two year contract in Russia in the hope that more playing in Europe will give him the exposure to earn a move back to the NBA.

"We wanted to acquire a person who could play a shooting guard as well as a playmaker and Ewing complies with these demands," head coach Kestutis Kemzura told Sport Express.

"Ewing came to Russia the previous autumn and he saw that there is high quality basketball here and everything he needs to work well."

"He dreams of strutting his stuff in Europe to return to NBA and get more playing time than he used to get."

Khimki finished third in the Russian championship last season and will play in this season's ULEB Cup.

Ewing is a good guy so I wish him the best; with more PT I think he'll improve his game and perhaps learn to be a solid ball handler to be a back-up PG in the league. He did okay with the limited time he got with the Clips.

We could always sign him back. Let's hope so.
