Hey please don't dish out disses like this. There's no reason that we need to delete our accounts because our opinions don't necessarily coincide with yours. Everyone is entitled to their own and while some people think that Rubio would be a great addition to the team and others don't, in the end it is still undeniably up to the Clippers FO to take care of business.

People want ricky rubio over baron davis because we are a team in rebuilding mode. We have so many young pieces in EJ, BG, Al, and DeAndre. The addition of Rubio would for sure help the cause as we develop into a strong competitor for years to come.

So before you register and immediately call us all losers for having our own opinions, think about WHY people might want him and then start your criticism from there. Saying that we don't know what we're talking about doesn't cut it, cuz in that case I hope YOU know what you're talking about in saying that Baron Davis will be an all-star again next year.

lol rebuilding???? we have been rebuilding for the past 10 years buddy...

baron davis makes 65 million dollers lol

kaman 50 mill

zack 14 mill in 3 years

camby 10 mil next year

al is going into his 3 season and a restricted free agent and the year after that eric is in that position

you think dunleavy can afford another 19 win season??

naaah its not a valid opinion.......its draft fanaticism

True the franchise always has the "rebuilding" tag attached but how many times has it actually had the right pieces? Opportunities like this don't come very often, especially not an undisputed #1 draft pick. Now I'm not against giving Baron another chance, but I'm not against adding another important piece to the young talent we have either.

For sure Dumb can't afford another 19 win season, but what makes you think it would be a 19 win season with Rubio? An opinion is an opinion no question. Might I say that what you said earlier is not an opinion but just Baron obsession then?

theirs merit to a baron obsession....the man has been a successful all star beast of a player....and lets not forget what he did to dallas... every nba fan was obsess with baron after that

rubio would be a disaster for our team...i mean what do u think is gonna happen when lets say rubio gets a rebound...his face lights up...he's pushing the ball...in his mind he sees a wrap around pass to AL...but all of a sudden Surprised a voice sneeks up from the side and it says....box 4, 7 side rub...go now!! lol what do u think would happen to a player like rubio and a set play coach like dunleavy..... disasterrr

and im one of those who believes rubio game will never translate to the nba.... u have to be crazy to think that style is gonna work in the nba...and the guy isnt even fast...lol he aint breaking down nooooobody

people are pretending to see what they see in rubio... he's terrible and every body in the draft knows it ....which is why he fell and the reason why minni probably dont even want him ....using his butt for trade bait for a stupid GM to take him....aka dunleavyyyyyyyyy

oh man ...we probably are gonna get him....lol

I also think we may be pursuing Rubio. Minnesota drafted 3 point guards. Rubio is probably furious not only because he's in Minnesota, a relatively small market team, but also because his team also drafted 2 other point guardsin Lawson and Flynn to go along with the 2 already on the team, Foye and Telfair. That makes a total of now 5 point guards on the team. HAHAHA come on folks, I think its clear what Minnesota is doing. To me, it seems like they don't intend on keeping Rubio. They know he won't want to play there, and reports already surfaced about the Rubio camp threatening to jump ship and head back to Spain. I think they drafted him SOLELY for his value. They already had 2 decent young pointguards on the team before the draft. Then they drafted 3 more...They had picks 5, 6, and 18. They picked Rubio because he was there at 5 and he has extremely high value, and they had picks 6 and 18 coming right up. You see the big picture? A TRADE IS HAPPENING. I think either to New York or to the Clippers.

I think Foye was already traded with Mike Miller.

I totally agree with your opinion. Ricky will be traded but anysways the team who buys his NBA rights should know he won't be in NBA next year because of his buyout.

There are like 90% of chances that he plays in Spain next season.

In the Spanish media, as ekker has posted earlier, he has said he doesn't understand why Minnessota has picked two PGs so he expects something happening soon. He has said the Kings showed him so much interest that he expected to become a King.

IMO he should have been more polite and show more respect for teams like OKC, Memphis...and now for the Wolves. His agent and himself should played their cards different. In NBA, teams decide for you while in Europe it works different.

Telling someone they should delete their account or calling anyone a loser when you have only been here for a "Griffin-second" is not a wise thing to do...especially when 90% of the members have been here longer than you. I'd rather not deal with this kid. Whats with you people? The kid whines about where he is going to play who cares? You suffer for a couple of seasons with the team that drafted you, if you play WELL big market teams in Chicago, New York and California can go after you and offer you the big bucks.

Kevin Durant didn't make a huge fuss about playing for OKC, he's patiently waiting for us to sign him when his contract is up. Trust me.

I'd squeeze Ryan Gomes or Brewer out of that deal as well. Remember that Rubio could just stay in Spain, so the pressure is on the T-Wolves to make something happen.

that would be sweet if we couldpick up brewer or gomes s well. Gomes has shown he can play and brewer needs a new scene.

Welcome!

I think he would actually make somewhere between 3 to 4 million a season for his rookie contract, similar to Gordon's contract. Now if you had to pay your previous team 6 million dollars to play here, where do you think that money will come from? he would basically play for free in a small market were he would never make money in endorsements. He is not a primadonna, he is looking to go to a place where he can make extra money to pay his debt. His situation is very different than a college player.

since he is going to arbitration it most likely will be much less than $6.5 million. That is the modern equivalent to a slave contract, with the discrepancy between pay and value of the player.

I suggest you take your political rant elsewhere. If you think the Spaniards are the only culture to do these types of atrocities, you are sadly mistaken. Look no further than our culture and what we did to the Native Americans & the Japanese in WW2 ( here and abroad).

I also suggest not to attack a specific Nationality as you have been. If you don't like a player, attack him all you want but to attack a full Nationality for one player is naive at the very least. We have a few Spaniards here that have been very cordial and respectful so please respect them.

For a guy that is playing the PC police, I suggest you stop. Your comments about the Paella is no different than attaching beans to a Mexican, or Rice to a Chinese person.

Don't tell us what you think about a race, this is not the forum to do it in.

Thanks!

Look, there were a lot of lottery picks in the draft who were trying to get drafted by certain teams. They choose to work out in some towns and not others. They encourage some teams and discourage others. Why is Rubio any different? Well, for one thing, Rubio has to pay 6 Mil for the priviledge of coming to the NBA and none of the other lottery picks have to do that. I don't blame Rubio for trying to achieve the best location in a big market where he can at least try to make back the 6 Mil in endorsements.

Wouldn't mind taking a chance on Rubio. Just because he doesn't have a shooting stroke doesn't mean he never will. I say Kaman for Rubio straight up. The Wolves hate the idea of Jefferson as the center, that's why they drafted Kevin Love, hoping he could fill the 5 spot. However he's not big enough, they need a real big man.

Clipper Joe: You can't compare the Spanish to the USA....One Annihilated entire cultures and the other just cast other aside and took over.....thats like comparing Genocide to putting people in prison......

Plus I have every right to hate a player like ricky rubio that was racist towards my culture of people....

You have every right to hate a player like Rubio but you DON'T have the right to rant about an entire race on this message board. This is about basketball and not your gripe about an incident that happened long ago.

I will also add that your comment about Paella was a bigoted remark that in most people's eyes, is no different than what Team Spain did. So, let's just say you evened the score and move on.

You can't blame a race for what a few players did. If you do, you ain't any different than the ones you want to condemn.

If you cannot control yourself from rehashing old history about a country, then maybe it is better that you abstain from reading and posting on this thread. This thread isn't about a country and what they did, it is about a player that in my eyes, has no alliance to anyone but the NBA.

No one has said you were evil for disliking Rubio with a passion, I am concerned about you generalizing a whole race for what 15 players did on a photo. I am concerned that you think ALL Spaniards are racist based upon ancient history. I am concerned that you are talking a stupid act and portraying all Spaniards in the same light. I am concerned that you took this thread to express what you really think of another race. That is what concerned me.

Like I said, express all you want about the player but DO NOT make false allegations based on what happened centuries ago! Every race has a dark past but to bring up something that has long past us is a disgrace to the Spaniards.

And to be specific about what we did to the Native American, it was genocide. Should I be held accountable for what others did back in the day? Should you?

Note: Please stay on topic.

It's inevitable Rubio is getting traded. The Wolves GM is trying to keep some value attached to his name. I was watching NBA TV yesterday and the Wolves GM was on there and when he said he was bringing a new style of play and Rubio was the starter Kenny and Steve Smith laughed. Kenny and the Gm even went back and forth and Kenny dissed Rubio. Telfair probably feels like he's a better player then both of the players drafted but I'd say he's off the bench for Flynn. One more thing if we did land Rubio he would still be a project and would back up Baron a PG picked that he should be starter material and he's not, should've fell farther.

everyone keeps saying paella. WTH is paella? Sounds like Patella -also known as the knee cap or kneepan, is a thick, triangular bone which articulates with the femur and covers and protects the knee joint. It is the largest sesamoid bone in the human body.

This is the wrong category for this but I like how Blake Griffin is starting to get frustrated with reporters talking crap on the clippers......sounds like a good and competitive kid.....the kind that will stick around until he accomplishes his goal.......lifelong clipper?

I'm not sure where you get $20M a year for Kaman, but it's untrue.

ESPN trade machine has him slated to make $9.5M this season.

Basketball reference says he made $8.5M last season, which fits with what ESPN has.

Kaman for Hinrich fits in terms of both salary and talent.

First, would you want a guy who has so little character. He's make BD look stable. The hemmrhoid from hell. If he doesn't get what he wants, he'll sulk and pout. Second as I've mentioned in other posts, I'd love to get rid of Chris and he's tradable and I love Kirk but who's gonna replace Chris, I'm sure Kwame Brown is availabe. Chris played at that level.
