Well according to benmaller.com...an excerpt is hinting at Kevin Garnett coming to L.A. next year: here it is:
[ If Sam Cassell had the power to acquire Wolves forward Kevin Garnett and add him to the Clippers, you can bet he would find a way to make it happen. The speculation continues on Garnett's future, and Cassell weighed in on where Garnett might ultimately land. "They say in L.A. somewhere," Cassell said. "I hope it's not with the Lakers. They've got enough over there." Cassell, one of Garnett's closest friends, would like to play with Garnett again. "He'd definitely be welcome," Cassell said reuniting with Garnett, this time in Los Angeles. "He's a great guy. He's an excellent teammate, but more importantly, he's a wonderful friend. Besides the X's and O's, he's just a great friend." ]
Is Garnett's contract up next year?? If so, maybe we could trade Kaman to the T-Wolves in a sign and trade. It would kill our salary room probably, but it may be a great idea. |

| haha, it would take a lot more than Kamen to get Garnett. The salaries would not match. For Garnett you probably have to give up Kamen, Maggette, Livingston, Thomas and/or Mobley and some picks. It's a good idea though. But as much as Cassell and Garnett are friends, I think Garnett on the Lakers has an even better chance of happening. That's if the Lakers will give up Odom and Bynum and others... but I'm not sure Phil will let that happen. |

| KG is under a five-year, $100 million contract extension through 2008-09, so he's making like $20 million/year. So it'd probably take Kaman, Mobley or Maggette, + picks to get to the ~$20 million/year level. If the T'Wolves don't make the playoffs again this year he'll probably be shipped out before he can become a free agent. I'm not sure how Garnett would mix with the Clippers since he plays the same position as Brand, but heck that be a powerful front-court. |

Yeah, that sounds about right. You'd pretty much have to give up the entire Clipper starting lineup. And KG does play the same position as Brand does, which I think Brand does an even better job of doing. This might work if Brand or KG move to center or one of them plays SF. I know KG is a multiposition player, but how well would he do as SF?
But wow, imagine Kamen, Brand, Garnett. That would be the most powerful frontcourt ever. |

| I don't know exactly how matching the salaries but Kaman,Magg,Livi,Thomas and/or Mobley seems too much for only a guy...If we trade EB it could be different, isn't it?What do u think about this possibility?EB plus Cuttino for KG.Wow!The salaries are matched. We lose our best player but KG deserves it.Anyways, we can't be thinking in the next year...the season has just started and I still believe that this can be a great year!GO CLIPS! |

| Miquel- trade EB for Garnett? I dunno- EB is much younger and makes way less, though Garnett has better stats this year. |

| No way we can give up Elton. He is half the reason why we have come this far. His leadership example of discipline, sportsmanship, integrity and hunger are not found in most NBA players. I would not trade him for anyone. |

| Why would you give up Brand for Garnett? Brand is a better player (at the PF position), makes less money, and is younger. Even if you had the reverse, I would still choose Brand over Garnett. Why? Brand is a franchise player. He's the beating heart of the team and what the Clippers organization embodies. The Clippers will retire Brand's number when he retires. Garnett has not yet proven that -- he's more of a uber-role player than anything else. |

In my opinion KG is KG...I love EB, in fact, I have his jersey, but Garnett is taller, more skilled...I don't know.I thought this possibility but I'm OK with EB staying on Clippers, as you say I think that we will retire his number...
Ei men!Stop trading comments! We have a nice squad and we can take the ring with this group...If Miami could won the ring why the hell we can't make the same? |

I think once EB starts playing like EB Miquel will change his mind . BTW speaking of Miami- look at them without their center and they're only 6 and 8 after 2 consecutive wins. Hopefully Kaman will be back soon and Cassell will play tonight. |

| I agree...there is still big parity in the NBA. It's anyone's ring to take. Why not us, right!! |

| Ok, KG can opt out after next season. As time passes, if Minnesota thinks he is going to walk, they will increasing get more desperate to at least get something for him via trade. As the time for his opt out nears, they will get less and less, because teams will feel they could sign him without giving up anybody in a trade to get him. EB will never be traded for KG. They might give up Maggette and a throw in, or draft pick. Could you imagine a front line of Kaman C, KG at PF, and EB at SF. Who is going to stop that? Nobody. Start ordering your championship rings. |

| I agree it would be extremely difficult to stop. I'd give them Tim Thomas and both our picks next year. We dont need any picks when we got Diaz and Baby Shaq awaiting arrival!!! |

| Interesting what JamFan says...If Minnessota carry on walking to anywhere KG will be more and more desperate and will force the trade and Minnesoota will get less and less...If they knew it they could trade him soon...Anyways Maggette+Thomas+Rebraca+draft picks doesn't match salaries...hurrrrr |
