| My only worry with christmas is that if he plays good with the sixers, the sixers can offer him something and he wont play summer league for us. So they got a chance to see him first |

| i'm just excited to watch basketball to be honest. in my mind, it really has no bearing on the nba season other than getting these rookies in shape a bit for the grueling 82-game season ahead of them, sometimes more. |

| true. im talking about that following season..he never helped the lakers and that was the summer team he was on. bayless went nuts last year in the summer but couldnt get in the game during the regular season. just bc someone flourishes in summer league doesnt mean it foreshadows better things to come, and thus summer league is not really that big of a deal |

I believe this summer league is a bigger deal than most years, for the Clippers at least. If Griffin has a good summer league coupled with a strong preseason, look for him to get the starting PF right off the bat on opening night. Also, the development of DeAndre is vital, for he will be asked to play a bigger role next season. Mike Taylor should continue to improve. Also, If Christmas and Banks play well, they could end up fighting for a roster spot. So...yes...this year's summer league is an important one for us. |

| The summer league just helps to see the potential, doesn't mean they will be effective in the nba right away. Bayless, the only reason why he wasnt affective was the fact that they had too many gaurds with the blazers |

Last year my family and i went to the US, and i got them convinced to take a one-day visit to the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavillion to watch basketball from 1 pm until 9 pm
It was an amazing experience, and i would not have been able to see the clippers play otherwise, since im from denmark. I saw the Clippers' first game vs. the mavericks. |

| tdots thx for pointing that out...i came on here to remind b_diddy why most second rounders are second rounders..bc they arent at the pro level. Some of course become good/serviceable/great players, yet most of the time they are not. That is why i warned about getting too excited about Christmas...because it looks like coal for the time being |

| ya well he had a short stint with the clips that was not quite as plentiful as his stay with the lakers. i remember to start the 05 season he had 20 points in 3 of the first 4 games. The dude is an absolute stud, he just has a mediocre jumper. I think he would actually be a good backup for The Baron of Point Guards |

That was 4 games for the 05 season, in 08 Smush couldnt even find a team. i doubt he will make a roster this year too |

dunleavy has NEVER EVER started a rookie to begin a season. not even number 1 pick glen robinson (ed pinckney -5pts, 3 rebounds - started over him). if history means something, he'll work griffin into the starting lineup behind camby. that's my guess. |

| ClipNation needs to riot at casa de dumbleavy to insist on blake starting. why wouldnt he? didnt the clips only win 19 games last year? Now is the time to build with the future, either by starting Blake or trading him away for Durant ( Hashem Willing) |

i really wouldnt mind have him start the season on the bench behind camby. if we start him right away, he might get a complex that might make him think he needs to be our savior (too much added pressure). coming off the bench to start the season he'll understand that nothing is owed to him, he has to earn it. considering his attitude and work ethic, that shouldnt be a problem.
he'll still get his minutes, regardless. he hasn't done anything to "earn" a starting spot. |

| I think he's put a lot of work in to earn his starting spot. And I dont think he'll feel any added pressure, it's not like he's coming to a typical no.1 pick team with only 19 wins the previous season. We actually have a lot of talent on this team and Blake is by no means the go to guy just yet. |

and the previous starters did nothing to "earn" their starting spots; they won 19 games. Also, Blake (or Durant) do have to be the saviors, because the Clips have been in quick sand. Starters should be BeerBaron, Air Geezy, Thorn man (or hopefully somone new signing), Red Head and Camby |

| I think Kaman is best suited off the bench for this team. We need someone who can score off the bench, and Camby should be playing the center not power forward he is much better suited off at center |

| yes nothingbutnet, i have been posting that for awhile. I think Kaman and Thornton (if we acquire moon) would be best suited off bench. just look at all my previous posts in threads such as thornton for 6th man, official trade ideas, upcoming free agents, etc etc |

| yeah ekker agreed, he'll start eventually anyways so it doesnt really matter.. but personally i think he should start right away. camby was out of position last year as a 4, even though he has body type for it. i think he's most comfortable at 5, which is where he's played for most of his career |

| blake needs to start at the 4, the skys the limit for him and limiting his playing time will only hinder his development. as far as the 5 goes, Kaman WHEN HEALTHY is one of the most agile and dynamic centers in the league, remember the 20-20 games he was putting up a few seasons back? Camby is also getting up there in age and could use the reduced minuets to stay fresh and healthy as the season goes on and as the most professional member of our team, he wont mind the bench role. We cant forget that both centers are injury prone and we have a good chance of seeing only one of them at a time or DJ starting |

| I'm pretty sure Christmas will get an offer from the 76ers, hes a hometown kid, and they can use a threat from beyond the arc. If they don't sign him, he would be a good pickup for us. I'm surprised he went undrafted. |

i really like xmas for our team. a good shooter.
as for blake starting, i hope dunleavy does start him cause camby and kaman wasnt even that good of a combination. try griffin and kaman. thats the perfect blend of finess with power and athletisicm. not to mention, both can play back to the basket and shoot face-up. |

Blake and DeAndre heading over to Dave n' Busters. I love that the guys hang out not stop. This is great for the team.
hah, knowing them they better not try to win tickets at the basketball free throw toss game. |

| I think it's a 50/50 between D Xmas going to Philly or LAC. I don't think there's any commitment to any team until they sign training camp contracts (late August or so). But it would be nice to have him or Kemp on the final roster. There's no point in filling the last couple of spots on your 15 man roster with veterans, not enough minutes to go around. It'd be nice to have someone on the squad who'll be hungry when he finally gets his minutes. |

Did you guys notice the Knicks and Raptors rosters?
Yaroslav is on the Knicks summer team and Paul Davis is on the Raptors summer team. Crazy! I was to see Koro playing with the Knicks ^_^ |
