apparently if rubio sits out the whole professional year, he can re-enter the draft next year. Shocked WOW. if we end up sucking again, (i hope not, and don't think we will, but if we do...) we can have another shot at rubio.

There's already a lot of questions surrounding this guy. Sitting out a year of competitive b-ball is going to make him a higher pick next year?

But if he does this, and the T-Wolves draft him again, it would be the funniest thing in the history of basketball.

That'd be thee worst draft pick in NBA history if we ever had this guy on our team.

Rubio won't be the whole season sitting just waiting for the next year to re-enter the draft...It has no sense. It's impossible

Rubio has to do a couple of things for him to re-enter the draft and get signed:

  1. Not play bball for a full year (yes, even Spain)

  2. pay off the 6 million he owes before we/anyone can sign him. ( without no income to pay off his debt, I find it hard that he will not play a full year)

When you couple those things with our chances of us drafting him next season when the chance of him re-entering the draft are slim to none, I don't see how this is Clipper related.

I'm sorry, with Telfair, and maybe Sessions still in the picture, how is this Clipper related? Oye Vey....

Seriously, if he sits out (which he wont) the only way we'd have a shot is if we had another horrible year and a high draft pick which would be counterproductive.

Also I think he'll play for barcelona or another spanish team that can pay off more than the $500,000 that the wolves are only allowed to offer. Either way, it looks like a lose/lose situation for him and the wolves right now.

No the Key word is Professional Ball, i wonder if he could come the the US and go to a college team for a year, thats not pro ball, and reenter the draft. That would be interesting

wo wo, that is a really bad comparison. No way is Rubio and Korolev the same. Rubio has actually played pro ball in Europe and Koro didn't, he got drafted out of the 18 and lower league

Exactly. I thought that was implied in my post... That is what I meant, his current team is pro. And according to this article, he can come over but he still has the buyout to worry about. I don't think he can leave with that lingering. He will basically be without a job for a year. I am not sure they will let him go under those circumstances.

Lets say he did the buyout.

Came to the US and didn't get paid for a year.

Played some college ball maybe to keep his game up, and re-entered the draft and got picked by yet another microscopic market.

He could easily go back to Europe at NINETEEN and get a max deal somewhere overseas.

He can't play college ball cuz he has an agent. He needed to be a top 3 pick in order to pay his team off in spain and wanted to get in a bigger market for endorsement money to live off of. Didn't happen his way but they're saying he's gonna leave the team in spain whether he can get the buyout money or not. I'm really just anxious to see how much of a bust this kids gonna be cuz I can't understand why he was taken so early in the draft.

John Wall ftw. However I don't think were going to get John Wall, unless he stays for a sophomore season and we land a high draft pick with Minny or our 1st rounder in 2 years.

I'm not too worried about it I like our team, I will love our team if we pick up Sessions.

Although he hasnt played a minute in the NBA his attitude is that of a pre madonna haha, and lookin back i can't believe that some clipper fans were hatin on BG an sayin to pass him up an get Rubio! BG is the real deal, i think he proved that in Summer Leauge, but we all already know that haha

I was a Rubio fan at the beginning of the Draft dont get me wrong but his attitudes gotta change, if he didnt wanna pay the big bucks to get out of his contract he shouldnt have entered the draft this year! I wish the best for the kid haha but im real happy he's not here, it seems to me that he's in it for the money and thats not the right attitude to have, especially when u havent played a single game in the NBA!
