According to a Dallas newspaper article, the Clippers may be interested in signing veteran power forward PJ Brown. I think that would be a good move now that it seems that Chris Webber will be signing with the Mavs. PJ can play some important minutes and even though he's old he's a seasoned proven vet. Other solid options include Melvin Ely and Corliss Williamson.

Mark Bartelstein, the agent for P.J. Brown and James Posey, said Brown is evaluating four to five teams, including the Mavs, and then will decide if he wants to retire or play.

The Suns, Celtics and Magic have all shown interest. The Clippers could also enter the mix after Elton Brand ruptured his left Achilles' tendon Friday.

I didnt realize that PJ Brown was still on the market! But that would be another great acquisition! Melvin Ely? Eh...i dunno. Corliss Williamson would be good. We need a veteran that knows how to play under pressure. How about getting Eddie Griffin or Antonio Davis? Davis would be an ok guy!

PJ Brown is a pretty good player still. He's started almost all his career, so filling in for Brand would be an upgrade over Tim Thomas starting. Corliss has always been a tweener, and we're low on size at PF as it is, so he wouldnt be a good choice in my opinion. 1 Year Contract for PJ would be fine by me.

Repped High Quality Post

Why would the Clips want Eddie Griffin?

This guy makes Ron Artest look like the Rock of Gibralter.

At least Artest is a vastly talented player.

Griffin hasn't done anything in the NBA.

Yeah I remember a couple years ago the Clippers almost traded Wilcox for Eddie Griffin. Instead Wilcox was traded for Radmanovic, who was able to help the team down the stretch.

This is shocking and sad but reports are saying the Eddie Griffin died in his SUV when it collided with a train on the 17th. RIP Eddie....

Yeah that is a sad story. Proves that money doesnt always make you happy. I hope he has some good friends who attend his funeral and help his family cope with their loss.
