Has anyone noticed that everywhere you go, we seem to have the worst selection of Clipper gear among NBA teams? I mean, i can't even find a decent new Era 5950 cap anywhere. We gets no respect. Anybody know where I can find a nice new era fitted?
Even at the Staples center store, the stuff is just ehhh... While the Lakers have 20 different styles of caps in alternate colors, etc... |

There was a thread a while back about a special 5950 hat that New Era is making for Blake Griffin. I believe that, in checking out the New Era website, it was determined that they don't make a Clippers 5950 cap. There is a Buffalo Braves hat though, but its pretty ugly.
I definitely agree with what your saying though. Finding decent Clippers' gear can be tough. Like, at the mall near my office there is a Lids kiosk, which does not have a single Clippers' hat. How can a hat store, in LA, not have one Clippers' hat? They have like 15 styles of Laker hats though. Annoying. |

| We do. Even at Staples Center Team LA store it's all Kings and Lakers stuff. Rarely anything new for the Clippers. Though there was a pretty funny shirt with Mickey Mouse holding up his index finger and it says #1 Draft Pick |

| The problem is we are not a very popular team, even in L.A. The manufacturers are not going to make tons of merchandise if they feel they can't sell. It sucks but thats the way they see it IMHO. At the team shop, on game days they have Laker crap their even if their not playing because the crap sells. I've seen people buy Laker crap at Clipper games. There really isn't anything we can do about. All we can do is hope that the team gets popular at some point and then the merch selection will grow. |

| The wins sell merchandise. I remember back in 2006 when we made the playoffs I saw a lot of people wearing Clipper jerseys just walking down the street. Livingston and Brand jerseys mostly. |

Y'know what's funny? I've had a Clips 59Fifty hat for over 5 years, but I can't remember where I got it from. It boggles my mind why they are so hard to find now...

You're right on, MrB...Los Angeles is such a fickle and bandwagoning sports town (maybe except for the Dodgers), that if and when the Clippers start winning consistently, the merchanidise will fly off the shelves. For those looking for more Clipper gear, you might wanna try NBAstore.com; that's where I seen a better selection of stuff. There's also the Team LA store at Universal CityWalk.
For those who may or may not remember, the Clippers use to have their own team store at the old Sports Arena...it was about 1/3 the size of the Team LA store at Staples; just think about the size of a large walk-in closet. The problem there was that (for example) the jerseys were overpriced, and with all due respect, I don't know anyone willing to shell out at least $150 for authentic Loy Vaught, Maurice Taylor, or Eric Piatkowski jerseys. |

During our playoff run, the Team LA store was well-stocked with Clipper gear. I fondly recall a Sam Cassell ominous smiling ghost-head t-shirt that they've long since stopped selling (I wish I had the foresight to buy one).
Anyway, when the Clippers start winning, their merchandise will be on demand. |

| Glad I'm not the only one that noticed that we are getting shafted when it comes to available merchandise. |

| so after the suns game on wed I went into the la store I found a decent clips cap. actually I found two! all caps were 30% off too! I was like yes! finally! so I am ready to buy it after trying I several and I look down at the price and it says $55! are you kidding me? I guess it was the BG special edition new era cap but there was no way I was gonna pay that much for a cap. seems like even when we win we lose! the search continues! |

| The Mickey shirt was getting a lot of attention on opening night. Lots of people were asking about it, but they only had them in kids sizes. Seems like a lost opportunity; they could have sold a bunch of them. I probably would have picked one up myself just for the novelty of an officially licensed shirt with Mickey Mouse on it. There is a white shirt with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy for adults. |
