Here are his words from his blog on koolse.com. This is the supplement to the L.A.Times article. I felt that one might want to read his own words then take a writers point of view. You make the judgment on whether EB was complaining about the "Clipper Brass" or not. Enjoy....

Dear Clipper Nation
I am sad to announce on my koolse.com blog that the news is true. I have ruptured my left Achilles Tendon. It was not a sudden occurrence as some bloggers have wrote. This stemmed from an injury that happened in Toronto against the Raptors. We were in the midst of a Playoff race so even though I felt the pain, I went by my rule "if I can Run I can Play". I had to miss 2 games because of compensating for that injury. I received the Cortisone shot (my first ever) to try to alleviate the pain. It worked for a while, but the same issue later arose. The reason I passed on USAB was to try to correct this issue with my Achilles. I wanted to come back this season 100%, and I worked intensely this summer, at the Clipper practice facility, to achieve that goal. One could imagine my disbelief when I was asked if my injury was due to performance enhancing drugs by Clipper brass. I know we live in that era, but I hold the game of basketball in high esteem, and conduct myself with integrity. I am not trying to go all "Kobe" on the staff, but to be asked that question when all the facts were presented throughout the year was very disappointing to say the least. Any way that's neither here nor there. Here is the story (for the last time) of what happened. I was doing my daily drills, lifting weights, cardio, and then my bball work out. My brother Chris Kaman, who is in the gym working vary hard daily, asks me to play some one on one. I agree because I can kick his butt at anytime (lol), so we agree to play to the Best of 5. I blow him out the first two games and had game point the third game. I go to the hole and call foul, but they don't give it to me. Check ball, he scores and proceeds to win the game to seven. I'll admit I was getting a little winded because it was one of my first days back to live action. My body felt great at the time though, and I was asymptomatic with my Achilles. After many dunks, threes, (yes threes), pull up J's, and lay ups I tried to make another hard drive then boom, it sounded like a drum beat. In Toronto I felt a slight pop, but Friday I felt a boom. I knew it was bad. I went to see Dr. Daly and he gave me the prognosis. I was disappointed, because I knew the Clips were going to have a stellar year. My Uncle Rob, who is a tough guy, actually pulled over the ride and cried (don't tell him I said that). He was upset not only because of the injury, but because he knew all the hard work we already put in for this season and the damage I was going to inflict on the league. It's just another Bump in the road. I spoke with most of my teammates and they are going to hold the fort down until my return. Guys are working harder than ever to fill the void I left. I am rehabbing already so I can get back and enjoy another play off run. Clipper Nation you have been great optimistic fans, so please don't call it quits now. Support the team as you always have and propel them back to the Play offs and to the top. Thanks for all the well wishes and support. EB
