Los Angeles (1-4) will try to snap that skid after picking up its first win of the season on Monday - 93-90 over Minnesota.

Rasual Butler, who made his first start for the cold-shooting Al Thornton, scored 12, including four free throws in the final 19.4 seconds as the Clippers avoided their second straight 0-5 start.

"It took a lot of resilience and toughness to finish like that in our fifth game in seven days,'' Butler said.

Chris Kaman posted his second straight double-double with 25 points and 11 boards, while former Warriors point guard Baron Davis had 13 points and eight assists.

Davis, who averaged 20.1 points and 8.1 assists in three-plus seasons with Golden State, makes his second visit to Oracle Arena since signing a five-year deal with the Clippers last offseason.

He scored 29 points and handed out seven assists in a 127-120 loss in Oakland on March 17, but he missed the 107-92 loss there on Jan. 25 with a bruised tailbone.

After spending the previous eight seasons with the Clippers, Warriors forward Corey Maggette averaged 17.0 points against Los Angeles in 2008-09.

Maggette hit 9 of 17 and scored a season-high 20 on Wednesday when Golden State shot a season-best 54.0 percent from the field.

People like to point out that Brand is fitting terribly with the Sixers. But let's not forget that Maggette's been a disappointment with the Warriors as well.

Let's win this game!! With some hardnosd D and team basketball i think we will play very well.

As for the trio of players (Brand, Maggette, and Davis) all players have been huge disappointments to their respetive teams (probably Maggette the least)

^^^Yeah I don't know what the Warriors were thinking giving Maggs all that money (spite I suppose for us stealing BD) but he's given them exactly what he did here. Offense and that's about it.

Baron better play tonight. He's had three days off and its against his old team.

Come on Baron, suck it up brosef. Bruised tailbone? Kevin Martin is considering playing with a broken wrist. Be a man Baron. This team needs you right now. If we cant climb out of this early hole, the season is all but over.

    BE A MAN

I don't know why, but I don't have a good feeling about this game. ^^^ And that is not the news I wanted to hear about Baron. I was hoping that, with these four days off, we'd hear that he was feeling better physically, not worse.

He's a professional athlete and makes an absurd amount of money. Guys take spills like that every game. He's playing the Warriors. He needs to be a "warrior" right now and not such a poontang

Have you ever had a bruised tailbone? I have. it's not fun and limits your mobility greatly. I could barely walk let alone run and jump and play basketball.

Baron has to play! He is going against his old team tonight.. I can see him playing tonight and not playing on saturday against Memphis..

Too bad we don't have a quality third string point guard.. It would really come in handy if Baron has to sit out. I'm not looking forward to seeing Collins getting time at the point

Baron took a damn nasty fall. He had the same problem last year and it killed him. I really wish we'd forget about 2010 and make moves for now and not the future.

On the bright side Biedrins is day to day for the Warriors with a bad back. Having Turiaf out and Biedrins would really limit them and they'll go extremely small. I'm not sure if this is good or bad. Dunleavy might micro-manage and try to match up wich will kill our size advantage.

Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad It does suck that we have no pre game show tonight. Guess it's only for select games maybe? Or until we start winning more??? Who knows. Its hard to find a Los Angeles Clippers jersey in the city of Los Angeles, so go figure... Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Yep, all of a sudden they have started calling fouls nearly every time down the floor...

That's my main gripe with the NBA. It's almost like pro wrestling, but I still enjoy it...

All in all, it was a pretty good half of basketball for us. I think we played pretty well...

EJ was hot. Kaman beating up on ppl down low, though the refs seem to buy all of Randolphs flops. Loved the way Bassy played throughout the half, making plays on defense and offense while getting teammates in the right position. I still don't know why Ricky is getting playtime, but whatever.

    Let's hope for a similar 2nd half.

I don't think it was particularly our defense that's been dominant. More like poor plays and shot selection by the Warriors. They are a streaky team, so we gotta keep the turnovers to a minimum and REBOUND REBOUND REBOUND.
