Screw Lebron IMO he won't come here, if he does it'd be nothing short of a miracle. He probably also wouldn't want to share the spotlight with Kobe and I think even if we did land Lebron we'd be a 4-8 seed at best in the West and would probably get knocked out by the Lakers every year. Probably something Lebron wouldn't want.
Time to think for a more well rounded, better roster. Why not D Wade? Why not is right. Wade wants to win, Miami is having a helluva time with Beasley and Jermaine O'Neal is getting banged up nearly every game. They really have no one on their team outside of Wade. If he goes down they will end up with the worst record again. Bring in Wade, have EG and Wade run the 1 & 2 and yes I do realize they are primarily SG's but the Lakers havent had a PG since Magic Johnson and they've done well.
Anyways we bring in D Wade - now Baron is expendable. I'm not sure exaclty who or what has an expiring contract in 2011 thats large but I'd take on anyone that could shed us some cap space for the year KD becomes available. The kid would be our SF and we'd be looking at Wade, Gordon, Durant, GRiffin and Kaman as our starting 5 with Thornton, Jordan, Telfair, Novak, 2010 & 2011 Draft Pick, Smith and hopefully Butler as our bench.
Draft a PG in 2010 don't care where we pick or who it is, PG's are plentiful and they ALL are doing great. Lawson, Flynn, Jennings, Evans etc they are playing fantastic maybe we get lucky and get a good crop in 2010 as well.
Think of it though, this isn't hard to dream about as well. KD does not like OKC, I've heard and seen multiple analysts trash talk this kid and he literally is the only person on OKC thats actually playing at the level he could play on any team in the NBA stat wise and still has room to grow.
Most every team is going to be going after Lebron or entertaining offers. Day 1 of FA Lebron will prob get max contracts from every team that can afford to offer one and Wade will be the man we need to go get. I'd move Baron for a chicken sandwich and a pack of Basic's.
Also as a more enticing offer for Durant with Gordons continuous progression, and hopefully Blake and DeAndre as well and if Kaman can remain healthy we'd look like his best option when hes available, the big market/hollywood scene, growing talent, a young yet mature roster and a veteran powerhouse in Wade.
But still, we do throw the book at Lebron right away, but also throw the book at Wade. Can't be stupid after all. |

| KD actually loves OKC. he says that's where he wants to be. wade isnt leaving miami casue they are owning this season. all of this FA talk is hype, no one is going to leave their team in 2010, except for MAYBE joe johnson. |

| what a disappointment 2010 would be if everybody just stayed with their teams. all that hype for nothing. and imagine the knicks if nobody signs with them, they would be a big mess |

i have a feeling the knicks are going to get boozer and johnson, and thats it. thats like 4th place team in the east lol, HUGE dissapointment. knicks fans were talking about championships with lebron, now they would be lucky to get into the second round lol |

If people stay with their teams in 2010 I'd bet most of them take their own player option due to the crap economy and 2011 will be the big FA offseason.
Even if Boozer and JJ went to the Knicks they'd be lucky to be a 6 seed in the East at best. Toronto should be pretty good next year if they can keep Bosh, Bargnani is finally coming around. |

Also....
KD may say thats where he wants to be but when it comes down to it, LA, Chicago and New York will be clawing to get him to come there, think of how much more marketable he will be with his talent.
Funny cuz I was hearing last year he didn't want to stay in OKC. |
