The reason that we play up to good teams and down to bad teams is that Baron is a lot better when he is playing in an electric atmosphere. For example: Denver this year, Boston this year, Boston last year, at Portland last year, All of his games with Golden State in that crazy atmosphere. here is something that he did in an electric atmosphere: If we fill up the arena, they will play much better. I think Blake's return will help a lot, not just because of what he brings on the court, but he will help....

Yes having a full stadium would help but if you havent noticed almost all our wins this seasons are against bad teams...the problem isnt the bad teams its the good teams that we have lost to. we are 2-11 against playoff teams right?

I haven't seen BD drop the hammer yet. Has he lost some lift? Look at his face in the video. He ain't smiling. He wants to rip your face off.

i don't think that number is right, but we have played well vs. the good teams at home. the only one that we didn't was the spurs game in which we had a good stretch where the crowd was behind us, but then we let it slip. One other game that baron played better due to the atmosphere: the road OKC game. they have a top 5 home atmosphere. can't wait until baron plays at portland who has a great home atmosphere, where we won last year.

Attendance in for tonight's game: Over 19,000!

Huge turnout. More than our home opener.

Sad to say, but the majority of those fans in attendance were cheering on Boston. It will be a feat once that number is made up of a majority of Clippers fans.

Its a bit inaccurate to say we play to the level of competition. Certainly, its true that we often play down for the bad teams, but we definitely do not always play close against the good teams. Before the Celtics win, other than the Rockets game, we were getting routinely creamed by teams over .500. We've been destroyed by the Spurs twice. The Christmas day game against the Suns was an absolute joke. The Orlando game was close for a while, but they ended up pulling away pretty easily.

But, yes, I agree that better attendance would result in more consistent home performance from the Clippers and Baron in particular.

I don't think we play up to good or down to bad teams. We just play like the team we are. An unenthusiastic team that doesn't bring a good effort every night. Our percentage is still about .370... That is,....

In most of our games, Clipper fans seem to be in the minority. Even our good friend BIll Simmons says he has season tickets to watch the other teams D:

I think the Clippers do play a little harder against better teams but they have done the same thing almost every time... blow up in the 4th quarter. Last night was a wonderful exception, but as pointed out above, anyone remember Friday's game?

Our team still plays like garbage too often and needs to be lead by Baron playing hard much like last night. Everyone says Baron has been the key to our wins, well when he plays without heart and shoots horrible is'nt he then the key to our losses as well?

I don't think it matters who the team we are facing on it's all on the players and staff if they want to play big they will. We can't say we play hard on the big stage because though we beat the Celtics we lost a game in horrible fashion on Christmas versus the Suns.

100% agree we need better fan support to help this team make the playoffs.

I don't agree at all really to this thread. We have lost to both good and bad teams. The team does not get up for the good or the bad on a regular basis. When it comes to playing in front of a packed house full of fans, if the team won games the fans will come. I guarantee it. Fans don't want to come to see the team get blown out by a good or bad team. When the team has won in the past the attendance has gone up and when the team loses the fans stay home. Thats the way it is.

better fan support? When the team plays well we freakin support them..what is it that you don't understand about that? Remember that Memphis game where we played really good defense? Thats how you get the crowd behind you, no one is going to cheer while your getting blown out because that would be foolish.

yes there were a lot of Boston fans at the game (i saw mobs of green) but the chants were some of the loudest I've ever heard and all for the clips. Have you ever been to a Yankee Angel game. The chants actually usually change from Angel to Yankee chants about halfway through the "let's go" so I would not say that the majority of fans were cheering on Boston even though they might have been there to see the celtics play it seemed like they were cheering on our clips
