You heard it here first. Both ESPN and slamonline are reporting this.

I still think Dunleavy made the right trade by moving him, but I guess it still makes you wonder.. What is it with our luck?

HOWEVA, in our defense this is his first year of actually making a huge positive impact on a team in terms of wins. Congrats Z-bo, perhaps our fortunes will turn when Griffin gets (and stays- let us pray) healthy.

I don't know if you have news about it but Pau Gasol is making the AllStar according to spanish media. So Kaman will have to wait once again...

About ZBo he definetelly deserved to be an AllStar. He deserved it playing for the Blazers and this year he's the best players in a PO team. Congrats ZBo!!

Congrats Zack. He is definitely the X-factor this year for the Griz. With the way the team is heading I'm glad he got picked as an All-Star.

On top of Kaman probably being overlooked by most coaches, our loss and Chris' lack of defense against the Nets certainly hurt his chances.

Congrats to zach! I actually liked his game when he was here. When you think about it he was never really surrounded with talent . He was booted before ROY came to portland.NY was a mess when he went there. Coupled with his off court problems the media and public perception of zbo was not that good.

He is playing team ball and should have made the all-star. More deserving than chris kaman because his team has a better record .

Great job Z-Bo put up numbers that resulted in many wins. Felt like Marc Gasol should of made it too.

I notice it says you're from Spain.. If so, Is Pau "huge" over there like Dirk is in Germany? And do you like him even though you're a Clip fan and thus consequently (probably) despise the Lakers?

I thought it was addition by subtraction. Except, how does trading one of the premier power forwards in the league to open playing time for an unproven rookie equall addition by subtraction. Trading Zbo was subtraction leaving subtraction. We would be better off if he were on our team this year and next year then any free agent we could pick up. NO free agent will sign with a team that loses to New Jersey Nets. Bad trade, mistake dunlevy.

Oh, and have four bigs hurts you how???

Agreed. A much-deserved congratulations to Zach Randolph; his selection to the all-star game is legit.

Get well soon, Griffin; at least you're still more promising than Brand at this point.

First of all, congratulations Zach. Secondly, how the hell can anyone say that trading Z-Bo was a bad move? It was absolutely the right move! It was amazing that Dumbleavy was able to pull it off. How was anybody supposed to know that Griffin was gonna break his knee cap? All while Z-Bo was gonna start the season in the best shape of his career. There is no way anyone couldve predicted that things were gonna turn out this way.

Z-Bo is a Laker killer with a three and two free throws in the last minute.Mem95-93LAL

It would be great to see Z-bo kill the Lakers again in a 1st vs. 8th seed playoff matchup.

I have to give Z-bo props. he is the leader of that team and he has proven all the haters wrong. He believed he couldve taken us to the playoffs with camby and Baron. Now he is doing it with a team that is younger and has less talent than us. Z-bo made some clutch shots against the Lakers. If we had known blake would be injured for the whole year, we would not have traded z-bo. Its just ironic that once we trade him he becomes and all star and one of the most important cogs on the grizzlies. Just the way of the clippers I guess.

Let the haters hate. Z-bo keep doing your thing.

I have to agree. I was watching last night's game and they were saying Zach is the most popular, most recognized, and most available ( PR-charity) player on that team. He looks fit, happy, and like a leader out there.

I still stand by opinion that it was the thing to do but how would we have been if he had started the season with this team?

At the same time, how bad would we have been without a bench? Uh, we have some pieces but does anyone really think Telfair ( injured all the time), Rasual ( as consistent as a broken clock), and Rhino ( like him) was worth the trade?

Some teams have 7-8 man rotations and succeed...could we have been one of them? hmmmmm????

^^^ If Blake had played, we'd be over .500 and no one would begrudge trading Z-bo. Just bad luck on our part.

I've been one of the most outspoken Z-bo haters. It's rare to see a leopard change his spots, but look at how much he's changed and how many of those changes were firsts for him... He actually worked on his body in the off-season rather than just getting fatter, a career first. He's gone almost a full year now without getting suspended or arrested (that's not a joke). That's also a first. Who could have predicted such a transformation?

I mean, who would believe it if Iverson said he was going to become a pass-first PG? Or if Sheed Wallace said he would stop complaining to refs? No one...

Few believed Z-bo could transform himself the way he has. I certainly didn't.

Even still, I have no regrets about the trade. If used properly, with the addition of Griffin, that cap space will be more valuable than Z-bo would have been. Add to that, Z-bo is heading toward the end of a long, lucrative contract. He's young and wants another one. Most players are always on their best behavior at those times, Stephan Marbury excluded... Who's to say Z-bo won't go out drinking and driving the moment he signs his next deal... Or stops his off-season workouts.

I think his motivation was largely due to the trade. He really wanted to be here. I think he used that to his benefit.

My only problem with the cap space is what we do with it. If we don't get something in the vicinity of what Z-Bo can do in terms of an All-Star, then the cap space and money wasn't valuable at all.

I think Rasual was a bad trade. I'm still on the fence on Telfair, and I really like Rhino. Right now, Memphis came out as winners...Jury is still out on us but it doesn't look good.

^^^ I agree... I do think if Griffin hadn't gotten hurt, the trade would have gone down as a win/win for both teams... And if we end up doing right with the cap space, I still think it can be a big win for us.

It's crazy because i dont think the Grizz expected to be a playoff team with their current squad. Marc Gasol is one the nicest upcoming C's in the game. That Pau Gasol trade doesnt look so bad at hindsight. Can you imagine if they didnt waste that pick on Thabeet and drafted Tyreke Evans or brandon Jennings?

As for our team, I still think we are one player away to becoming a playoff team. Just a solid consistent SF.
