This one blogger on FoxSports.com had the Clippers picked to finish last in the West. Does everyone but Clipper fans ignore this franchise?? LOL. I responded with a comment saying that "even though it looks ugly without Brand, it takes no brains, passion for the game or guts to count the Clippers out". It's true though, the guy clearly counts out a team whom he seems to know only one player from (Brand). This team shored up depth problems and kept most of their previous team intact. Yes, they came off a dissapointing year, but if a few things went the other way, we'd have made the playoffs. What I'm looking at is the progression of our young players, our quality of depth and the passion of the players leading this team. Cassell, Patterson, Maggette and Mobley are tremendous competitors and I think all of them want to win big before their careers are done (especially Cassell who's got 2 rings). Even Tim Thomas I think will be even more competitive this year now that the PF spot is probably gonna be in his hands. I'm excited to have the media proved wrong after all they've done is make the safe prediction and glorify the popular teams. CLIPS FOREVER!!!!

If coach does indeed go to an up tempo game, we could have 6 or 7 players average in double figures. Corey is going to go for 20+. Sam, Cat, Kaveman, Thomas, Thorton, and the Kobe Stopper, could all hit double digits in scoring. And the bench will be stronger with Dickau, Knight, Davis, Ross, and Powell. An up tempo, balanced scoring attack with some aggressive defense will gets us our share of wins. And then mid season you add Shaun and EB back into the lineup and we got a really good ball club. Most sports writers do not really follow the Clips very much or very well. They recycle the opinions of others. They only see problems and never see the opportunities.

Well said guys- there's NO WAY the Clippers are going to finish last- and I'd be happy to eat my own words. Off the top of my head I think the TWolves, the Blazers, the Sonics, & the Kings should easily have worse records. I think this can be a .500 team even in such a competitive conference, and a 7th or 8th playoff spot is a very realistic goal.

It wasnt much on the Clips, but all the other west teams are on there, so you can compare what he said about the other teams too.
