Please DTS, just go play in some traffic. The Warriors are up for sale when it was thought impossible. We can only pray Sterling does the same. This is ridiculous.

Now with this happening i'm just sure we will get a great new coach that has no worry about getting paid when DTS doesn't even pay his predecessor.

A contract is a contract DTS, either settle on a number or pay Dunleavy in full. DTS should know from business that some times you have to take a financial hit to steer the organization in the right direction.

Dunleavy signed his contract to be the coach then resigned the position. I wonder if this has anything to do with Sterling not paying.

Wow. A contract is a contract DTS. It's funny that a business man like DTS does not know how to honor contractual obligations. Pay the man and move on. Seriously bad PR move for the Clippers. This is not going to help in our coaching search and luring free agents.

^^ at the end of the day people will do anything for money.

And people wonder how we got where we are currently in our economic crisis.

Face it. DTS is still the cheap bastard that he's always been. What coach are we going to get now, other than one who really needs a head job... What free agent are we going to get now? I'm sure Lebron and the other top guys' agents are hearing this... No guy with other options is going to come to the third-rate organization...

Is Cutino Mobley a free agent yet?

I thought of that too but I don't think Dunleavy would have resigned from that position without some sort of safety net or guarantee from DTS that his salary and contract would not be voided.

I think the fact that Dun's lawyer is involved means they have a leg to stand on in this situation.

I think ( assuming) that when Baylor was let go, Dun had DTS work something else in the original contract. After all, he was doing 2 jobs for the price of one.

Either way, this makes DTS look like a penny pinching, pinchfisting, tightwadding, scrooge who is going back on a investment that didn't pay off dividends.

More than anything, I am pissed off at the doors he's closed by this being made public.

i dont think Coach and GM Salary has anything to do with Cap space, i believe its completely separate for player salaries

If you couldn't see this holdout coming, you had to be the most most Pollyanna of Clipper fans... DTS is a flat-out ass, just as he always has been...

Best case scenario for us fans (season-ticket holders or not) has arbitration ruling in favor of Sterling, leaving him zero excuses to cheap out on a new coach. Of course, prospective coaches will have dwindled no matter the outcome (which is likely not going to be in DTS's favor).

How does coach Fred Vinson sound? Fitting, right?

Usually we win in the off-season... Thanks to Sterling, it seems like we've played the first quarter and are down 14.

We have a nobody GM, no coach, and the management team in Roeser and Sterling who have guided us through the worst 25 years in sports history... Other than getting lucky in the lottery and drafting Blake Griffin, is there really any cause of optimism around here?

We're stuck with Baron and his contract.

Kaman is solid.

DJ looks promising

Gordon will be a solid NBA player, but not likely a major star...

Griffin, a potential star yet to play a game

Compare that to what other teams are bringing back... Let's say Sacremento

Tyreke Evens, a future NBA star

Spencer Hawes, a player who will likely be as good as Kaman

Omri Casspi, a very, very promising small forward prospect

Jason Thompson, a reasonably talented PF

A higher draft pick than what we have coming and a bunch of decent parts like Garcia, Udrih and others who are better than what we had on the bench... A that's one of the worst teams in the league.

Other teams have a lot more happening than we do.

I wish there was a policy where the NBA could just step in and force DTS to sell the team due to conduct detrimental to the league for years.

^^^ There was a rumor circulated about six years ago that when Brand and Maggette came up for new contracts, that if DTS didn't retain them, the league would force him out... Hence, he retained them... I don't know if it's true or not, but I have to believe that the league was and IS sick of having a laughing stock team because of DTS...

I think that was more to due to the Clippers needing to maintain a minimum salary cap, which at the time, they had to maintain at least $35 million or so in salaries. I don't quote me entirely on that, but I believe that's the gist of it.
