Al Thornton lead the way once again as the Clippers scored a very nice 112 to 96 victory at Staples Center tonight. "The Thorn" had 24 on 9 of 17 shooting, including 4 out of 5 from deep. Maggette had a great game as well as he notched 22 points on only 9 field goal attempts. And how about Paul Davis! He started at Power Forward and had 15 points (5 of 8 shooting), 6 rebounds, and 5 assists! Way to go Paul- he certainly has improved over the summer. The guys also played terrific defense as they racked up 13 steals and collected 4 blocks. You also have to like the assists to turnovers ratio- 30 assists to 15 giveaways- that will get it done.
So another very impressive victory- now let's see if the guys can pull out the final two exhibition games (vs. Sacto on Wednesday & Warriors on Friday) to go into the regular season with some very encouraging momentum.

| Kobe who? We got the scoring machine, the Thorn. He is one of the best looking rookies I have seen in quite awhile. He can hit the 3, and when he slashes through the lane, he slashes. Defenders will not be trying to get in the way, they will be trying to get out of the way. Or maybe they are just spectators, watching something that they just can not do anything about. Scary! |
