The Clippers win a thriller on a 16 footer by Tim Thomas with about 10 seconds left. The game was back and forth all night long- the Kings actually had a chance to win but John Salmon missed a 3 at the buzzer. I was really impressed with the Clipper defense tonight- Patterson, Ross, Kaman, and Knight really strut their abilities at the defensive end. Kaman and Ross had 3 blocks each, Patteronson had two blocks and two steals, and little Brevin Knight chipped in with 2 blocks and two steals of his own. Speaking of Knight he really ran the show well in the fourth quarter- always seemingly making the right decision. Brevin ended up with 7 points and 8 assists. Kaman broke out with a great game tonight- 19 (8 of 12 shooting) points and 9 boards, + the aforementioned 3 blocks, & only 2 turnovers. Thomas returned tonight and had 11, 7, and 3 along with of course the game winner. Also Diaz showed some flashes there in the fourth quarter. Thornton had an off-night with only 8 points, one rebound, and 5 turnovers.
But another solid win for the Clippers, especially if you consider that Maggette was out with a tail bone bruise. One more victory to go to end the pre-season on a high note! Here is the box score for tonight's game:

| 3 straight preseason wins. This one with Brand, Livingston, and Maggette not playing, and we win anyway. Amazing! |

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Tim Thomas hit a tiebreaking 16-foot jumper with 12.9 seconds left to help the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Sacramento Kings 92-90 on Wednesday night.
Thomas was back in the Clippers' lineup after missing two games because of a family emergency in New Jersey, but Corey Maggette sat this one out due to a bruised tailbone and Aaron Williams was sidelined by a right calf strain.
Chris Kaman led Los Angeles with 19 points and nine rebounds.
Mike Bibby had 28 points for the Kings, but failed to score in the final 3:55 and committed a costly turnover with less than a minute to play. Both teams combined for 57 fouls.
Bibby made eight of 12 shots in the first three quarters - four of them from 3-point range - but the rest of the team was 15-for-45 from the field. The Clippers led by as many as 10 points midway through the third quarter before Bibby's short running bank shot with 10 seconds left in the period put the Kings ahead 69-67.
The lead changed hands four more times before Clippers point guard Brevin Knight scored his first points of the game on a 20-foot fadeaway jumper and converted the free throw to give Los Angeles a 78-75 lead with 8:28 remaining.
The Kings tied the score three times after that, the last time on a pair of free throws by Kevin Martin with 1:31 left. But they never could get the lead back. Bibby made a bad pass out of bounds with 32 seconds left and Thomas made him pay with his clutch shot on the ensuing possession.
The Kings had one more chance, when Bibby drove the lane on an inbounds play and kicked it out to John Salmonds. But his jumper was partially tipped by Cuttino Mobley as time expired. |

| CJ- there was already a topic for the game- next time can you just post the summary as a reply to the existing thread (if it's already there) instead so I don't have to merge them? Thanks! |
