Apparently Jared couldn't stick with the Knicks, making it a good trade for the Clippers:

The New York Knicks have reduced their roster to the regular-season limit of 15 by waiving guards Jared Jordan, Demetris Nichols and Walker Russell, the NBA team said on Thursday.

Jordan has averaged 4.5 minutes in six pre-season games, Nichols 7.8 minutes in five appearances and Russell 5.0 minutes in three outings.

The 23-year-old Jordan averaged 17.2 points and 8.7 assists for Marist last season, becoming the first player to lead Division I in assists for two consecutive seasons since Avery Johnson in 1987-88.

The Knicks, who won their fourth pre-season game out of six by crushing the Philadelphia 76ers 103-90 at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, launch their 2007-2008 campaign on November 2 when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers.

They waived Demetris Nichols?? Hmm...I would have thought the Knicks could really use a player like him. Oh wait, they already have a ton of shooters...hehe. Nichols is a good player and someone will pick him up. Reminds me of Matt Barnes a bit in that they can both shoot very well and are too skinny to be true Forward.
