Why are the Clippers not involved in the Kobe sweepstakes? Why not trade Corey (who is going to opt out anyway) and a few others, say Thomas or Q Ross or whatever for Kobe? What do you think? If I were Kobe, the balance of this team, w/ Kobe, would be far better than Chicago or Indiana or anyone else.

Kobe for Corey, and Q & maybe Cat. plus draft pick. LAL gets good SG/ guards and a good back up for Walton, someone who can plug their swiss cheese defense. LAL could get a franchise player with the Great # 8 gone. We'd be short at 2 guard but...Kobe+EB+Sam+Kayman and Sam at 2 guard if Li'l bro' Shaun is back (get well soon). Clips over Celtics if Kobe doesn't hog the ball. but it won't happen. EB would stay then.
By the way JF I've been an NBA fan over 50 yrs. I saw the big "O" play live with the Royals. |

I love our team right now...without our best player and Livingston, we have a very solid lineup both bench and starters. No way I'd trade for Kobe right now. Considering he's out of his contract in a couple years (right??), I wouldnt take the gamble anymore. We have more of a TEAM than the other LA team has and that's gonna pay dividends for us.

i agree. our team, when healthy, is really good. Kaman, Brand, Maggette, Mobley, Livingston. That's a solid starting lineup if you ask me. and our bench is solid and deep as well w/ Ross Patterson Cassell, Brevin Knight, Dan Dickau, Paul davis etcetc. We have the size AND we have the speed. Kobe is defintely a sweet sweet player, but you can't get him without giving up equal talent. Sorry Kobe, haha, save the drama for the lakers.

Guys there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY NO WAY I'd want to trade for Kobe. I guess I failed to make myself clear. The question was asked "what if" What if Kobe were an adult? What if he were a team player? What if he wouldn't destroy the team? That team looks great on paper but as I once said if kobe were a Clipp I'd almost consider selling my ticket. It won't happen and I'm real glad.
