This is a winnable game for the Clippers- they've gotta put the clamps down and get this. Ruben Patterson & Tim Thomas will likely be tasked with shutting down Kevin Durant. Let's see if Kaman can have another good game. Go Clips!

I'm watching the game and give a lot of credit to Patterson and Mobley...They have been the best of the game. Nice to see Patterson playing this way. He's gonna be an important piece in our team.no doubt

    Patterson - 6 steals....silly!

I like the uptempo approach, take advantage when we can, otherwise dump it into Kaman or let Maggette get to the rack. This next week should have some tough tests tho!

Loved it- esp those 3's from Thomas in the 4th to put the game away. I remember last year he did a lot of that too- he's a very important weapon for us and gives Kaman room down low. Corey had a great game- 27 points on just 13 shots, 6 boards, 3 assists, and 2 steals w/ only 2 turnovers- masterful. I'm proud to see Corey playing such a team game- he's defnitely carrying way he played at the end of the season last year to this season. Kaman w/ another double double- 10 and 15. Patterson was terrific again- he's all over the court making deflections and steals, and Dan Dickau played well too. Dan came in when Knight got accidently poppped in the nose by Mobley and did great- he hit a big 3 and had a couple of assists.

But now here comes a big time test vs. an angry 0 and 3 Bulls team in Chicago.... Let's do this Clips!

Yea that Bulls game is going to be tough, they really need a W after their miserable start....maybe the Kobe drama will still be bugging them!

Play smart basketball and you should beat the Bulls. They got a lot of inside defense, but they lack consistent offense. Kaman will be in for a slugfest down low. If we keep hitting the threes like today, it will really keep the Bulls at bay. I just watched the highlights for the game and it looked like pretty good defense and great ball movement by us. If everyone chips in, we'll win like the Pistons when they shocked the Lakers in the finals (I mean in the season though, cuz making the finals is still quite a long shot).

i am so impressed with the way this team has begun the season. i mean seriously, i couldnt ask for more. mike smith said it best when he said, "it amazes me that a team can lose its most unselfish player and yet are now a more unselfish team."
yet am i the only one here who is very hesitant to let myself get too happy too soon???

That is a *GREAT* quote. The team is definitely playing like a team- they're not forcing shots and they're always trying to make the extra pass.

What a nice quote. He always has something clever to say. haha. nice.

This is my shot at explaining this quote. It was a realization by the team when we lost EB that it really has to be a collective effort to win. If we try to play each team trying to use individual talent, i don't see it happening. Playing together and playing smart basketball can win u games. The veterans know what is necessary to win. and it's not necessarily talent. it's chemistry and teamwork. Hence, theteam looks for that extra pass, runs with that extra spurt of energy, plays harder for each other.

We're 2-0, but we have played GS and Seattle(Oklahoma city?), two of the not so great teams in the league. The bulls will be a good test. a good test. hopefully, we continue our strong play and come out with another victory so be one of the few 3-0 teams.

4th quarter defense was key yesterday vs. the Sonics. No one will remember a defensive effort when you give up 101. But Kaman had two 4th quarter plays where he blocked at the rim and he controlled the ball. And defense caused some travelling calls and turnovers/steals. LAC had a huge offensive burst, but it was keyed by aggressive defense.

But I agree with you guys, not to get too excited yet ... these 2 games were not against elite teams. But you should be able to beat Seattle by 14, so I'm stoked.

By the way, Durant is pretty good! We better temper the Thornton ROY talk, since Durant will get a ton more opportunity to put up numbers.

Yeah, the Bulls havent won and the Sonics and Warriors are also winless, so although I've very ecstatic about the 2-0 start...This team wont be for real until they continue winning against weaker opponents and start beating the better teams in the league. Team play & Defense is the key.
