| Without Mobley this is going to be tougher, but the guys are playing great so there's a good chance. Let's see if Al Thornton can pick up Cat's scoring load- if he has a really good game that'd really help. Prince is going to be a handful- Patterson will probably be tasked with guarding him. Hopefully Brevin will be ready for the game too- they're going to need his playmaking ability as the Pistons are going to bring the D. Go Clips! |

Wow! The Clips have been amazing so far! Great hustle, marvelous shooting and Kaman is finally playing up to the contract he signed. He has been wicked aggressive on the glass and really, nothing short of All Star caliber. Chicago and Indy were high quality wins. Sure Chi was on a down but beating them at home was big, and the Pacers had been on a roll. Both great victories. Now however we hit the elite big time. Detroit is likely the other team in the Eastern Conference finals and even though we'll catch them on the second side of a back-to-back it's still the Pistons at home. If we can beat them though, or hell... even just play them tough then the Clipper haters and doubters will HAVE to start singing a new tune. Who knows, we might even start seeing the LAC on national TV more than once a decade!
I agree with you David, it'll really help if Brevin is ready to go, and Thornton's scoring is big, especially if he shoots well from the floor. I don't like Patterson on Prince much either... he's a little tall for Ruben, but somebody's gotta cover Wallace so he'll be stuck with Tayshaun at times. That's a scary match-up. In fact the Pistons are a scary team. This is another important game for Kaman because he is one of the positive match-ups we have going, let's hope he stays fired up. Billups is maybe the main one I fear. Q or whoever will have much work holding him. Detroit plays under control, and smart... so if the Clippers win out there it will mean a lot! |

| i'm looking forward to this game, a "test" for the surprising clippers. losing mobley for this one is tough, but then someone else will have to step up. it's weird, i can't put my finger on it, but's there is something about this team that whenever we get behind or things aren't going quite right, i'm confident that we will come back. i'm not used to feeling that way with the clippers, and it's more than just a healthy sam cassell. kaman has been unbelieveable and the 3-point shooting is something else i'm not used to. no one mentions it, but dunleavy has been doing a great job with his rotations, he seems to be pushing the right buttons for the most part. the clips have a stretch of games coming up @ home for the next three weeks, if we can get the home court mojo going, by early december the entire league could be talking about the clippers, the top team in the west. i feel that the swagger sam brought to the team 2 years ago is back. BEAT DETROIT and shut up the buffoon bill laimbeer who i'll have to listen to on the nba league pass broadcast. |

I guess he's working double duty all season long! Pistons lost tonight so they'll be extra hungry for a win tomorrow, especially at home. Plus they don't want to be "laughed at" for losing to the Clippers so they'll be extra motivated to give the Clippers their first lost. But as long as our team competes and hang in there, I'll be satisfied. I can't say I expect a win if Mobley, Patterson, and Knight are out but I sure hope it'll happen!
I seriously hope Thornton goes off in this game for 20+ points, Thomas keeps hitting his 3s, Cassell and Maggette provide their veteran leadership with scoring, and Kaman beats up the Pistons' big. This will be a huge test for Kaman, hopefully he'll be extra motivated to play well in his hometown! |

If Cassell's performance against the Indiana is a glimpse of what can happen when we are short handed, I won't be surprised if we win. Remember, Chicago has no inside game and Detroit had a HARD TIME with Chicago. All we need is for Kaman to hold his own under the basket and have the others speed up the game.
I wasn't impressed with Detroit yesterday so I expect the Clippers to win this one. Call me crazy, but 2 wins on the road especially in the EAST sure qualifies us to have a good chance at winning today's game.
Most teams don't do well on a back to back schedule and knowing the rivalry against Chicago, I'm sure Detroit is a little tired from yesterday.
I call this an even match today and like I said, we should win this one. I would be disapointed if we didn't. |

| Yeah I wouldn't doubt that Corey still plays being the warrior he is. I agree with you guys- Kaman needs to be big time again- at least a 16 point 12 rebound game and the other guys need to keep hitting from the outside and stay aggressive with drives & draw fouls. It'd be great to get Rasheed Wallace in foul trouble. Q is going to have his hands full guarding Rip Hamilton. Whew- this is gonna be a good one! |

| Yeah I agree Clipper Joe...this game should be won. Players who score a lot, rarely do the same on the following day. (regarding Rasheed's explosion of points last night) So as long as the Clippers keep their head in it and stay hungry, the Pistons can go down. Maggette probably will play, but I can see Thornton getting some good looks tonight! |

I want to see if my fellow Clipper fans are as web saavy during game time as other NBA teams. I always see NBA fans in their respective forums cheering on their teams as they play live on TV.
So lets see what we got guys.............. |

Pistons are coming out with the hot hand. Kaman looks good early on, & Maggette is shooting to many jumpers, and not doing what he does best. But of course with T. Prince guarding him, it's not an easy task.
It's KAMAN time baby 15-10 DET |
