[excerpt] A day after scoring 33 points against the Chicago Bulls, Cuttino Mobley left the game at 6:41 of the first quarter because of a strained right groin. He watched the second half in a suit at the end of the bench.

Ruben Patterson followed him to the locker room the next quarter after aggravating his dislocated right pinkie, an injury sustained during the exhibition season.

When he returned to the bench, he gingerly gave Mobley a high-five with the hand, and the two sat together.

Point guard Brevin Knight did not play because of a sore lower back and Corey Maggette aggravated a bruised tailbone on a drive to the rim but continued to play.

"Corey has a tailbone bruise I have to be concerned about," trainer Jasen Powell said. "With Cuttino, it will probably be a couple games or a week. Brevin and Ruben are probably day to day."

I got a little surprised when I saw Patterson just playing a couple of minutes in the first half....Now I understand that it was due to an injury because I was starting to think that he didn't play because of a coach decision. Patterson has been great for us and I supose we must keep him happy playing minutes in order to not break team chemistry. But if he's reaaly injures then better if he rests. so no problem

I'm Baaaaack! Just got back from a cruise to the Mexican Riviera. You know Ixtapa, Z, Puerto Vallarta, and Cabo. So, I haven't seen a single game and I need to check in with TopBuzz to find out what's going on. Yikes, we're undefeated. And with all the injuries, looks like Thorton is going to get a chance to see what he can do. The minutes will be there over the next week or so. And Kaman has turned back into a basketball players. All good news so far.

Knight is probable and Patterson is questionable. I think Knight will go because Cassell can't go 40+ minutes and Dickau be the back-up against Billups/Hamilton. Much rather have Cassell have enough gas on his tank to abuse the Cavs guards on Sunday.
