Hey all,

Here’s my latest:

Pincus: Clippers Lose Gordon. Lakers Starting to Roll

http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=18582

Gordon will miss approximately eight of the 11 games on the brutal road trip " including Atlanta, Miami, Orlando and New York. Ouch.

Lakers starting to put it together " Phil Jackson says they’re coming into their own.

Thanks

Eric

How the tables have turned. Everything is back to normal now. It's like the times of the Clippers overshadowing the Lakers can only last for 2 minutes.

yeah, but our time is coming. next year is going to be exciting and maybe then we are the talk of the town.

Its good to see the chemistry building and the team moving in the right direction.

Gordon'sinjury did effectively submarine any slight chances of the psot season we had.

We will have a great season next year. We need to solidify the 3 spot and we need a bruiser to defend Blake and eric.

We weren't going to make the playoffs anyway so it's going to give Foye and Butler more of a chance to prove their worth. Maybe it will even give Bledsoe more of a chance to play with Baron in the lineup with him.

IMO....2012/13 is the LA target take over date....just around the corner..

there's still hope for the playoffs, but it's to slip away fast.

^^^The problem with that is that Bulter and Foye have already proven their worth... which is not much... The idea that they're making around 7 million between them, makes me think spending 100-k on a good scout for the d-league would be a better investment.

The tables have turned? It's been one freaking game. Without EJ, we scored more points at a higher %. I'm not saying EJ is expendable but we but we did very well on offense. We need to gel real quickly and man up. today will be a better indicator on how we will do without EJ.

I'll wait before i jump off a cliff.

It's gonna be a tough road (no pun intended towards this upcoming trip) but this isn't like "officially" losing BG last season. We know we have two legitimate studs in BG and EJ to move forward with in the future, and unlike last season, we KNOW we can play now instead of just hoping we could. Will we go .500 on the trip? No but who cares? At this point (and arguably all season) it's more about team chemistry, coaching, getting experience on the road and other intangibles that don't show up on a scoreboard. We thought we had issues when Kaman got hurt but it just cleared the way for DJ to emerge. Will someone do that at the 2 spot? Highly doubtful but at least it will give other guys chances to produce and if we play well in the process, so be it.

Good to know my tongue-in-cheek remark about us all season is good enough for national media.

I'm still wondering how Foye's talent has completely gone down the toilet since joining the Clippers. This dude can ball, but not in a Clipper uniform, unfortunately.

he wasn't that bad was he?... i mean 15 pts and 4 assists isn't bad... he did have 2 turnovers, but EB and BD doubled and tripled that...

agreed that foye did a fairly decent job. i just saw his stats and they seem alright. i didnt see him play.( someone want to fill me in). if he threw up more shots like ej then his numbers might have been the same. the team needs to have confidence in their role players.

ouch. looks like my flutter before the season of the clips winning over 35 is looking much less likely to pay off. however i think we should have won the dallas game. i am more convinced though that we would have definately won it with EJ and his lack of presence was a direct reason for our very poor 2nd half. also JET killed us and guess whos stellar defense we could have used?
