Clippers are ranked 22 out of 30, but are one of only two teams in the bottom half that remain profitable (the other being the OK City Thunder). In fact, if you rank by profit rather than total value, Clippers are in the Top 10, making more than teams like Boston.
I am thinking it's a near certainty that the new CBA is going to see some changes that do not favor the players.
I also didn't realize Denver was in such a hole. At nearly $12M loss in operating income, they probably need to dump Melo for budget relief reasons. In fact coincidentally Clippers profit by almost the same amount that Denver looses every year for operating income.
