Hmm...just thinking that this draft class coming up will be pretty deep. I havent done much research on this, I'm just taking it from the little I know. I think the PG crop will be strong....Rose, Mayo, Collison, Dominic James, that Lawson guy from UNC, Augustin from Texas. Also a bigger player in Beasley from K-State...I'm a Pitt fan and Sam Young has been dominating as an athletic PF (but I dont think he'll go pro yet).

I just think that this draft is shaping up to be very strong with lots of good, athletic, skilled players...What do you guys think?

Miquel, what's some good players that could be coming to the US from overseas??

The next bomb coming from Europe is called Ricky Rubio and he won't be in the USA until 2 years...If you look in nbadraft.net there are some names from Europe but I only will comment the ones I've seen play:

Kostas Koufos. He's greek but he has been playing in the USA for years...I saw him playing last summer for the Greek team and he was the best player of the tournament by far although he was playing with players of his age and physichally there was too much difference and he did what he wanted. I would like to see him playing with stronger opponents but he was very versatile, with class and particularly interesting because of his outside shooting. It seems to me a great player

Nikola Pekovic: a warrior. despite he's not very tall he understands the game and fights with everybody. Phisichally he's strong and if he doesn't come to the NBA soon, is obvious that he will play for one of the top european teams.

Goran Dragic: nothing. forget his name. He played in ACB last year and he did nothing.

The other european names are unknown even for me that I live in Europe. If i had some news I would inform you.

P.D: Scola hasn't still found his place in the Rockets offense. But believe he's a great player and if he plays minutes he can score easily more than 10 points per night despite playing with 2 players like Yao and TMac who combined are shooting more than 40 shots per night

It seems tha Scola's minutes are increasing and his production is growing along...Scola is a great player and I don't understand how a guy like Chuck Hayes can steal him minutes.

But I'm writing to talk about Rudy. Rudy Fernandez. I know their rights are already property of the Blazers but believe me that if there's any way to steal them the rights we must do it. I don't know if the Blazers could give him enough minutes with Roy playing the SG. Yesterday he did it again. He scored 34 points in 32 minutes. A basketball machine. This is the game:

Forget about Gallinaris, Batums, Dragics...Rudy is the real deal. Be sure. I give you a gift with Rudy and Ricky Rubio dancing.Fun:

LAC2008 I'm sorry but I haven't seen any game with Batum playing...But the point is that he's nobody in Europe (at least he plays with pros...not like Korolev). I mean he hasn't done anything and he's too young. If he was a rising star I would have heard more things about him.His stats in euroleague:

The other day I saw another player whose name is involved in the next draft: Gallinari...Well, I only will say that I didn't chose the best day to see him play. He has good size but he was very shy with the ball and he did nothing. The game I saw was versus Unicaja and looking his stats seems it was his worst game:

Well i here alot of good things about Rudy Fernandez!!!!

Is it true the he's sister plays for the Los Angeles Sparks? i bet he wouldnt mind coming to L.A!!!

If we dont make the playoffs we should trade our lottery pick to the Blazers for Rudy Fernandez.

Hey Miguel !!!! Is Rudy Fernandez better than Marco Belinelli of the Warriors?

Yes. His sister plays for the Los Angeles Sparks during the summer and now plays for a Polish team during the winter. She's a good player too.

And yes. I have no doubt that Rudy is better than Bellinelli although I think Bellinelli could deserve more minutes than he's having right now with the Warriors. Rudy knows the game much better and right now I could say he's surely the best SG in Europe. He has great confidence in his game and he shows it every game. He's a good passer too and the most important: he's a great shooter. He could do a lot of things in NBA.

I insist that we should trade someone for Rudy but I know the Europe scouter for the Blazers (jason filippi) knows everything I'm telling you...I saw him last summer in Madrid watching the Eurobasket with other scouters (I didn't see any scouter with a clipper jersey Sad), and I've read comments from him in Internet talking great things about Rudy Fernandez...So be sure that they aren't going to trade him for nothing. Check the videos I post:

This is a rudy exhibition versus FCBarcelona. Rudy plays for a team called Joventut in a city called Badalona. Badalona is next to Barcelona. In fact, both cities are "together". So the games between FCBarcelona and Joventut are like derbis. I could explain more things like both teams are from a nation called Catalonia but I guess that you would get lost if I had to explain historic facts of my country. So the most important is that Rudy did one of the best first halfs I've seen in my whole life:

The second one is a video with some plays from Rudy and Ricky Rubio who plays in the same team (sorry for the music):

http://acbtv.acb.com/search?type=some&a ... ;text=rudy

And then click the video that says: "R&R: El ritmo de la liga"

Finally check the final of this video. It's a game from last year. These things only can be done by someone born to play basketball:

You might be right about Rudy and the Blazers not letting him go elsewhere, but hey i got to questions.

1st HOW BIG IS BASKETBALL IN SPAIN?

2nd HAVE YOU HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT BABY SHAQ, I MEAN SOFOKLIS SHORTINITIS?

I see you LAC2008 a bit lost...Wink

Well, here in Spain the most important sport with a lot of difference to other sports is what you call soccer. Everybody knows who is Ronaldinho, Casillas, Raul, Eto'o...I supose the only player of soccer you know is maybe Ronaldinho, isn't it?

The second sport is maybe the basketball, in fact I'm proud to say that we have the second best basketball league in the world, called ACB. Every team has former NBA players, players picked in drafts, etc. Maybe one day, if I'm bored I could write a list with exNBAs playing in ACB. But it would be a long list, believe me. IMO basketball isn't growing as much as it should, because the best players leave to the NBA and then people doesn't have any "franchise player" for years...

And about Sofoklis. Last time he was weight he was heavier than ever..The last thing I heard about him is that he was suspended by his team because he didn't want to go to Switzerland to a specialized clinic for his overweight problems...Finally I think he has decided to visit this clinic. And right now he's in Switerland in this clinic

Wow! I know I can be a bit boring with my updates but this guy really deserves it. Well, in Spain we play a middle season tournament called "Copa del Rey" (King's Cup) which is only played by the best 8 teams of the league. You win you pass. You loss you go home. It's not playoff mode. It's full of NBA scouters watching future or former NBA players...

Well you can supose which guy I'm talking about. Of course. His name is Rudy. Rudy Fernandez. This guy is really dominating the league from the SG position. And you can imagine which team has won the title. His team: DKV Joventut.

First game 20 points in 23 minutes and 5 assists:

http://www.acb.com/fichas/CREY72003.php

Second game. He slowed his game just scoring 13 points but 9 assists:

http://www.acb.com/fichas/CREY72003.php

And what about this amazing play. Check this out!!!This is real!!!This guy is magic...

http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=YHFRH55863U

And finally, the final where he says: I know I'm the best...I'm just gonna show you. And he scores 32 points in 32 minutes!!!Winning the title and of course the MVP.

http://www.acb.com/fichas/CREY72007.php

A great shooter. Can create his own shots. Great IQ basketball. Great dishing the ball. A flopper, Ginobili type. He's always looking for the attack foul. A winner. Quick hands...

His only "problem" is that he's phisichally skinny. Just like Tayshaun Prince, but not so tall. But when you are so f***** good it doesn't matter. Oh Rudy, oh my...

I still can't believe how the Suns just sold his rights to the Trail Blazers. I wish the Clippers were the ones to get that deal instead.

I have just seen who has been the Rookie of the month in the western conference...It seems my old friend Scola is already showing his skills (as I predicted in December Wink)Is always easy to bet for good players... If you have an opportunity to see him play just watch him. His footwork is outstanding, one of the best in the whole league. He's undersized with many PF's but he knows the game and he plays hard.believe me
