I originally posted this in another thread, but think it might deserve it's own...

Anyone else here think that Blake was somewhat frozen out the way Jordan was by Isiah? Notice nobody really passed him the ball...except Deron Williams.

In Blake's postgame interview conference thing, he mentions how fun it is to play with those guys, mentioning one guy by name-Deron Williams.

Deron Williams, according to Lisa Dillman's Twitter, had all kinds of stuff to say about Blake:

-"His all-around game is phenomenal...He's already unstoppable."

-"We all call him Captain Planet."

-"I haven't really played with anybody who, you can just throw it up anywhere, and they will get it."

Also, when rumors were swirling last week about DWill wanting out when Sloan left, the Clips were mentioned as one of his possible destinations.

So...D-Will in 2012?

these kinds of threads are just plain stupid. unless its talking about upcoming free agency or draft then there should be no reason in making them. look at the knicks fans who thought they were getting lebron in 2010 they were already celebrating back in 2007-08. don't lower yourself to the status of laker fans who think in 2012 they'll get dwight howard and 2014 they'll get black griffin makes them look like huge ass chodes. well point is 2012 is still a long time away and things can happen. heck we thought zach randolph was going to be our go to guy before blake griffin fell into our laps

obviously a lot can happen. and honestly, there's so much stupid speculation on this site, that's what fans do...so if I start one thread about targeting a player who is actually a possibility, what's the problem? people talked so much here about LeBron, Melo, Chris Paul, Granger, Shaq...so yeah, you don't gotta go around calling people stupid or chodes. chill the f out.

also, not sure why you always say "black" griffin. is it some strange attempt at a racist slur, or can you just not spell?

If dwill or cp3 somehow become a clipper, I'd be prolly one of the happiest ppl in the world, and our clippers would Automatically be a championship caliber team, dwill is that good. And since boozer left utah, he shud leave too and join the best PF in the L

Griffin and Williams had instant chemistry

"I haven't really played with anybody who, you can just throw it up anywhere, and they will get it," Williams said. "I'm used to having guys where I pass it on the ground and let them go to work.

"His all-around game is phenomenal. I don't see many weaknesses in his game. He doesn't really know how to play the game yet. I heard Charles Barkley talking about it the other day. … He's already unstoppable, but it's going to be worse."

This is in a more easily read format lol.

he is unhappy in utah, that is why there was so much controversy with him and Sloan. He is leaving utah for sure, lets just hope its to the clippers!

Like that T-mobile commercial with D-Wade, instead of a bunch of Boston fans chanting "We want Wade!", it's going to be a bunch of Clipper fans chanting "We want Will!"

I'd love it. It'd be a continuation of already great things for the Clippers at that point.

There was a article on Hoopshype titled "Source: Williams Wants to go to Knicks as FA

This is what the article stated:

A person with knowledge of the conversations told CBSSports on Saturday that "Jazz point guard Deron Williams began informing close associates after last season that if (Amar'e) Stoudemire wound up in New York, Williams would follow him there as a free agent in 2012."

So, I'm not to optimistic about Williams joining the Clipps, but who knows, he could easily sign here as he could with the Knicks. However, thats another year or so for Blake to get even better, so I like the Clipps chances.

The good news is that the Clippers is now being considered by an all star. Hopefully, others will consider us too.

Well, both CP3 and D. Will have said they will sign with the Knicks but obviously it's going to be one or the other. There's a chance that the Clips can sign one of them and I'd be happy with either one obviously. No matter what happens, the good thing about all of this is that Blake is going to attract some big name FA's. It's up to the front office to make sure they keep Blake happy and not mess up on signing potential all-star free agents.

how....embarrassing.

cdf10, you're a classic example of someone who needs to be more respectful on these boards. If you don't like a post there is no need to be dishing out insults, it's better just not to post. You're actively encouraging people not to start new topics here and without topics there is no point to this site.

you should consider proof reading something more thoroughly before you tell someone to 'check their vision' which I think is a quite agressively insulting statement, even in the case that you weren't completely in the wrong, which you clearly were.

speaking of race, i thought it was interesting to see deron williams, blake griffin, dirk nowitzki, kevin love, and manu ginobili out there at the same time. a full lineup of white in the all-star game.

i love how the league is getting a bit more diverse

...I honestly think he meant to type Blake...and I wasn't going to respond or point that out......until I read "check your vision"... wink

I wouldn't call multiple foreign players WHITE really. Dirk is German, and Ginobili is Argentinian meaning he is latino basically. D Wills is part black.

Fact is this sport is run by african americans as the basic best talent in the league, and I'm fine with that. I still love how Lebron and others say RACE is still a factor in the NBA because there aren't many black owners. How many black owners will there be in say 10-15 more years when all these nubs retire and probably buy teams after making 20+ mill a year?

CP3 and D Wills I believe are free agents the same year. There's 0 chance both go to New York. I doubt they'd want to run a 6'2" SG who is really a PG, and they won't have the money to offer because I doubt they get rid of Gallinari and Chandler, both of whom will command a pretty penny and both are talented enough to remain in NY to be part of their future plans.

Our best bet is to zero in on Deron Williams, he'd stay out West which should be a bit weaker at that point, and we should be a better team, thus giving us a bigger chance of coming out on top in the West with his addition, if we haven't already. And if Gordon and Griffin get extensions / re-signed at that point ( I am assuming they will ), Blake should have his 3rd All Star appearance in a row, and I am sure Gordon will have made it once or twice by then. Factor in DJ should be a 10/10 guy by that time, we'd just be missing a starting PG ( if we aren't fully ready for Bledsoe yet ) because Baron will be long gone when his contract is over and done with.

white is white. german is white. argentine is white via italy (hence, ginobili), dwill and blake are half blake AND HALF WHITE (if a person is mixed race/black, why do people almost always label them as black? ive got 2 friends that fall under this category and dont associate as much with their non-black ancestry. its an interesting social phenomenon)

you bring up that there arent enough black owners? while i agree, there also arent enough asian, hispanic, and native-american players, coaches, and administrators in the league. how about that one?! if people/players are demanding equality in professional sports, cant we have it across the board?

I said that D Wills is part black, not a black person. He does resemble a white person more than an african american, although he does have the darker skin tone.

White is white, but most of the "white" players in the NBA that are of quality, aren't from America. Hell even Steve Nash is from Canada. And I agree there aren't many Asian, Hispanic etc. players in the NBA, but most people need to realize that in south america Soccer aka Football is much larger than basketball, so that isn't a sport that many people would focus on, get good training for etc. And in Asia baseball is quite large amongst sports. While there are a decent amount of Asian players that have graced the league, it's only a matter of time ( just like baseball ) before we see more asian players. As for Native Americans and Latin American players, 1 there aren't that many native americans in the United States. 2 have you seen where most pure blood or at least 50%+ native americans live? The conditions aren't very good and most don't have the money to even buy good shoes to play basketball, and a lot of them are schooled on their reservations and have a lot of deep respect for their tribal history, which to me is a lot more precious than seeing a native american playing basketball, as I am only 8% native american, I do cherish my heritage.

As for equality across the board, we'd either have to bring in like 10 more NBA teams, or cut a lot of african american players and bring in lesser quality asian, latino, native american etc players to balance it out. And the funny part about what I said about players compaining about race issues in basketball, its mainly african american players who not only dominate the sport, make the most money, have the most endorsements, have the bigger fan followings, but didn't the civil rights movement end in the early 60's? I tire of hearing about race issues in general. The only people that should be fighting that battle are middle eastern people at this point.
