| Maybe is good for them to miss the playoffs because if they make the playoff they are goin to be in the 8th spot and be eliminated. Look the draft is goin to be very deep and maybe we could get a good player in the draft and also we could get a player in the free agent #50 is goin to be gone and that is goin to open the spot for al and if sam is gone we could go after a good player draft or F.A and if we make thr playoffs we are goin to be eliminated in the first round. |

I have to disagree 100% with you Bill....
Each analyst also thinks that this is a tough team when healthy....Maggette looks lost in the offense because he is not a leader...there is no real leader on the floor at any time...When Sam is in there everyone shines.... |

| Well unless the Clippers can stage some sort of miracle come back I think bill is right. With 2 games coming up vs. the Suns, we're looking at a very probably 9 and 19 record. The team is simply not very good with so many key players injured. After starting 4-0 they are now 5 and 17 after that. It's never good for the public perception of a team when it misses the playoffs, but for the sake of next year's team a high draft pick is better for the long term. If we get lucky and get someone like a Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, or Michael Beasley we're in business for next season big time. |

| But it's too early for being thinking in the next season...We cannot give up at this point. Let's see how we work with EB and Livi although I know it may be too late... |

I agree. It's too early to give up but I see Bill's point. I'm hanging on to a thread myself but I haven't given up yet. At least not till it is mathematically
impossible. If we get to that point, then I will embrace it.
I'll tell you though, I am closer to giving up on Maggette than this team. I don't like his demeanor on the court as of late. They guy looks lost on offense and his decision making is driving me nuts!
Like I keep saying, there is reason for our losses. It is not like we have the worst talent in this league. According to what I heard last night, we are ranked #11 on defense. That is not bad considering who we have out on the floor and who is healthy. It is our offense or lack of that is killing us.
Would I like a high draft pick for next season...sure. Would I like a fighter's chance to grab the last spot for the play-offs more? You betcha!
At this point, I am counting on other teams to slide. Houston is not doing that good. Denver just came off a slide themselves too. Jazz is not doing fairing as well as one thought. Who knows, some other contender might just inherit our mis-fortune. |

It's not that it is to early to be thinking about next season, it's that the West is to deep for the Clippers to make any kind of moves. Livingston is not coming back this year, and we will be in to deep of a hole by the time Brand comes back, and as long as it takes for him to get his legs back.
This year is by far unbelievable as far as the injuries are concerned........Here is my 1st team all MASH unit.....
Brand, Livingston, Cassell, Maggette, Mobley, Davis, Thomas, Williams, are you freaking kidding me??????????????
I just hope people don't think the Clippers suck because we're bad.....we're not that bad....we fight, but we are just to shorthanded. It's who is not on the floor.
But going back to my point, the West is just to deep epecially when you have 9 possibly 10 teams with .500 or better record
As for next year,
I don't see any draft picks that are worthy out there......
Is Cassell going to reitre
Will Maggette & Brand opt out
Can we sign any SUPERSTARS next year ????
There seems to be more questions than answers out there......... |

A realistic evaluation says our boys won't make the PO's but the PO's are what every team strives for. If they don't make it, it's a failed season in many player's minds. It's better to be #8 and get swept in the 1st round. Otherwise why play? It takes a lot of guts to go out and play hard knowing you'll get your butt kicked and they do. Being a Spur is easy. It's all about Clipper Pride
