i been thinking about this recently, but wouldnt it be cool if there was a tournament for each division in the nba, and the top 2 teams in each division are seeded off of their record, this will make it fair play for all teams and this will be one game elimination, with no series til the each division leaders are determine, it just seems not fair how if we were in the eastern conference we would of had way more playoff appearance then we currently have, so tell me what u think guys

NO! This is the pros. deal with it. now the eastern conference is getting overloaded with superstars and "BIG 3's" and is going to be more competitive than before. Its fine the way it is.

i don't think it would work for playoffs, but i always thought itd be interesting to have some kind of tournament in the all star game with division teams. don't know exactly how it would work with 6 teams, but it would be fun to have the talent spread out a bit more to make division all star teams. what would each team look like?

i'll take a look at it

Pacific

Pau

Griffin

Kobe

Gordon

Nash

bench: Curry, Ellis, Evans, Cousins, Odom

Southewst:

Duncan

Dirk

Gay

Ginobili

Paul

bench: Kidd, Kevin Martin, Zach Randolph

Northwest:

Aldridge

Love

Durant

Roy

Westbrook

bench: Nene, Al Jefferson, Millsap. (with Deron and Carmelo gone from this division, it's tough to find non-big men to choose here...)

Atlantic:

Amare

Garnett

Anthony

Allen

Williams

bench: Rondo, Pierce, Billups, Lopez

Southeast:

Howard

Bosh

James

Wade

Wall

bench: Joe Johnson, Al Horford, Josh Smith(just the Hawks, because the Bobcats and Wizards have nobody else.)

Central

Noah

Boozer

Granger

Gordon

Rose

bench: Baron, Bogut, Jennings, Hickson

This division is really sad.

Other than the Central division team, which is essentially the Bulls, past and present, I think this would make for an interesting All Star weekend addition. This would add some more competition, and would get rid of some of the talent overload that exists when you pile everyone onto 2 teams. With the guys more spread out and teams not quite as stacked, the games could be more interesting, I think. It's a good balance between everyone too spread out onto 30 teams, and everyone condense onto 2. Six all star teams seems about right for that. It seems unlikely, but it's still fun to think about.

ive always been intrigued by a single table nba format, where the top 16 in the NBA make the playoffs. the only problem is what to do with the issue of having equal playing schedules since the USA is so darn huge, making travel such a hassle.

its lame hearing that certain eastern teams have made the playoffs so many years when we all know the competition was weak to begin within. meanwhile stronger teams in the west are considered lottery teams.
