I have been hearing a lot of people online suggesting such a move.

With The Kings staying put in Sacramento, everyones eyes are on the Los Angeles Clippers. Now i know everyone is going to go krazy in this thread so here it is now. so....

HAGGLE or NO HAGGLE?

well atleast the first responce didnt chew my head off..

i agree with the NO HAGGLE.. DTS can still keep the damn LA name like the Angels did. this team needs its own arena and fan base.. you had people in Anaheim getting wet over the Kings coming down too.. why not a team that probably already has fans in the area?

lets see:

a major downgrade in arena (staples to the honda center)

a downgrade to anaheim from los angeles

an opening for the maloof brothers to jump on board the LA/AEG/$$ train at staples.

the clippers arent struggling with filling the arena so a move to anaheim for that reason doesnt make sense. besides, DTS turned down the offer many times in the past. his business is Los Angeles - Anaheim makes no sense to him. heck might as well just go to san diego (a place he already moved from).

its a bad move.

haggle, nothing will give me more joy than upstaging the Lakers in Staples Center with a young, talented Clippers team. I think this team should take more pride from rising from almost a laughing stock to putting together a team that can compete with the champs in the same building. I could see the possibility of playing a couple games during the season at Honda Center but in my opinion the Los Angeles Clippers should stay that way.

I live in OC and I know plenty of people who would be willing to be season ticket holders if the Clippers made the move to the Honda Center. Especially because of Blake.

No haggle!

I couldn't find the ones Ralph and Mike use so I made my own. We don't need to move. Who is going to run LA when most of the Laker superstars get too old to play? Hellooooo us!. We have young, fresh new talent that will take LA by storm.

Haggle!!!!!!

The team plays in the nicest arena in the league makes money even while losing. There's absolutely no reason to move the team further south. The Clips sold out 18 games on the season including the last 12. The Clips are taking over.

The only way the clippers move to anaheim is with a new owner, who might move them even out of state! the honda center would also have to do an expensive remodel, not impossible, just....

I know the Rams kept the "Los Angeles" name when they moved to Anaheim Stadium too.

But I would be against any relocation. Like what was mentioned earlier, this is the perfect time for the momentum to shift to the Red and Blue. Why ruin what could be a great thing?

So, my vote would be "Haggle". I would love to see a Clipper home game in Staples some day.

The Pond is a state of the Art Aren. You guys are just not willing to admit it. All the Pond needs to do is complete the Locker rooms and practice facility as well. The Kings are not going to build an Arena for them anyway, it's all talk. I still don't see the clips moving especially after they built the practice facility. DTS really has no vision, Clips will always be secnd fiddle unless they become contenders.

A few years ago when the Clippers played in Anaheim, they sold out every time, and they didn't have Blake back then. The faciility is really nice. But the world revolves around Staples, and if a football stadium comes, the Buzz just gets bigger. It will be one of the biggest and best sports and entertainment areas ever. The team moving forward will sell out a lot, and even if DTS increases his payroll further to add that key SF and resign our core, he will still make money. in LA and at Staples, the Clippers can become the center of attention. In Anaheim, DTS is just another owner. It just wont be special down there. You don't want to move out of the limelight.

You guys need to realize that the city of Anaheim would not let the Clippers use the name "Los Angeles." They already made that clear about the Kings' potential move.

I hope the team stays in LA. DTS better be working on a new lease at Staples.

HAGGLE... Clippers not going anywhere.. we are staying home where we belong..

And as for those yellow banners.. maybe the Clips should request Staples center to put a tarp over them during our home games.

Or we could spray paint red, blue and white "CLIPPERS" or "LAC" all over them.

Yellow and Purple is such an ugly color combination, we'd be doing America's eyes a favor.

I wouldn't mind them being in Anaheim, as long as they get to keep the LA Clippers brand. Most people are saying we don't need to move because we will be number 1 in staples. I disagree, we will never be number 1 in staples, reguardless of how good Blake and the clippers become. People on here say we are going to over take the Lakers in a few years, because Kobe will be gone. Yeah, so you think that the Lakers wont sign a top tier free agent, Like they always do? A Dwight Howard pershap or D-will player maybe once Kobe is gone? As much as i love for us to take over this town and be number 1 in staples...it may not happen. Lakers have so many fans, it's always gonna be a Laker's town. Like it or not, it's the truth.

Lets just get this straight, The clippers will never move out of LA. If that was an option, the clipper organization would have never invested millions of dollares in a new practice facility. Its more realistic that they move to the forum but never to Anaheim. It would be a waste of money to build another practice facility and commuting would also be a waste.

The Clippers in my opinion need to move out of the Staples Center. Move to the other side of LA where they can est. a more loyal fan base..

Staples Center is OVERRATED! I have been to one of the most outdated arenas in the NBA in Sacramento and you are more upclose to the team than anything.

Dont need a bunch of Hollywood pricks watching Clips games just to see Griffin.

DTS will never move the Clippers to the OC. One of the major draws of owning the team is the ability for him to invite Hollywood friends to a game. So the question is moot.

sad to say but that's the gospel truth. Clippers will undoubtedly gain in popularity but until we can establish a dynasty we wont touch them in terms of popularity

people, seriously. We arent moving because of the new practice facility and thats it. DTS would be in idiot to invest millions on a new practice facility built 3 or 4 years ago and then move to Anaheim and invest more millions? come on!!! So all you pro OC movers need to come to the reality thats this shouldnot even be a discussion.

I'm in favor of the Clippers moving on to their "own" stadium and getting out from under the banners/history and that big watchful eye of the hometown favorite Lakers....but unfortunately there's no chance of that even maybe happening until The Donald moves on.

I think Anaheim city charter states that if we move there, Blake Griffin has to play in Mickey Mouse ears.

Donald Sterling likes to attend the home games so there's no way in hell he's gonna make his commute longer by moving them out to the Pond of Anaheim. Plus, moving the Clippers into the Staples Center was ingenious. Even if the Clippers suck, they were still getting spill over attendance from LA basketball fans that couldn't get Lakers tickets. The Donald is a cheap ass, but he knows how to maximize his asset.

I don't know, Jimmy Buss might not be cheap, but he's sure as hell stupid. But hey, DTS has been paying up money for a while now so who cares. The Clippers are on the map for a while now so I'm enjoying the ride...As I lurk through Lakers message boards. lol

I expect to see a lot of your friends coming here soon....And Jack, Denzel, Lopez, and all those stars that feel the grass is always greener..."I love LA".

Moving out of Staples would be nice...nobody can seriously say they are ok with the Clips "sharing" a home court, let alone to the friggin' Lakers. It's just whack. I also live about two feet from Honda Center so of course I'd be down to sail the Clip ship out here. There are tons of legit fans of basketball here that are Lakers fans by default for whatever reasons. That being said, it will NEVER happen. They just built a sweet training facility...finally, and middle of LA is still the best draw for them now that they are HOTTT. I wanted to get the Clips out here years ago when the Brandwagon was full steam. We missed our window. F sharing Staples with the Lakers tho. I HATE looking at those banners!

F**k that!

Let's play a 7-game series right now for the rights to Staples. If we lose (which we won't) we''ll go to Anaheim; if we win, make them the Long Beach Lakers.

DTS will die before he lets that happen........he has gone on record as saying that........LA makes him more money, he owns most of West LA, and There is a reason why The Angels had to rename them themselves Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and that it due to the fact you can slice and dice Anaheim into a million pieces and you still get Anaheim.......Its a terrible orange county city, that went bankrupt a few years back and has no other draws to the area other than disney land..............If you asked 20 people from around the globe let alone from around the nation to point to anaheim on a map no one could find it......or they would point to LA.....and thats why it will never happen........its way harder to sell a product in a city that people can't even find.......

If anyone moves, I would put 32 trillion dollars down and say, it would be the Lakers if they are 2nd to the clippers for the next 4 to 5 years.......Buss would move them to Seattle or San Diego....Donald Sterling has lived in LA since her was 2. Its his home, he went to Cal State LA and Southwestern Law School(also in LA). The Buss' on the other hand are from out of state and would be more open to moving ESPECIALLY if the Clippers buzz only escalated...and the Lakers show a drop off in fan support over a 5 year period. Jerry Buss was friends with Donald Sterling and actually got him into ownership while Donald Sterling got Buss into real estate investing. But now that Jerry's son is in charge i've heard he wants to leave his own legacy and not live under his fathers.

Angels, Clippers, CSUF Titans, Chargers, Ducks, FOR LIFE...in that order. Forget the Anaheim is a pedestrian market BS, all we do is produce winners out here in the OC on so many different levels. There is an enormous base of people out here in the OC that are ready to welcome a bball team to call their own and support in whatever city. The "LA" helps with national marketing but bottom line is if the owner pays to play and plays to win, the $$$ rolls in. Angels are a prime example of that as they will rise to even greater heights in Anaheim over the next decade as the Dodgers scramble to catch back up. Little bro becomes big bro in the blink of an eye out here in SoCal. OC deserves a team, but it will not be the Clippers. Not going to happen.

why not make another suggestion, instead of staying at staples, have the clips build their own stadium. haha. that would be much more plausible than moving to the oc. HELL NO!!! to that. the clippers are from la and will take over LA when we keeping moving up and the flakers keep moving down. people are saying that we can become like the angels and avoid ending up like the dodgers. i call bs. the only reason the dodgers are in a bad situation is because of a cheap owner. based on the recent cba, DTS will have to spend money. this was seen this past offseason.

just being real.......with real logical ideas.....i mean the Lakers are freaking out already and they haven't even played a season game..........i mean can you picture them finishing 2nd to the clippers over the next 5 years and just excepting that? I can't.....unless they just care about money.
