I found this old video because I'm bored as hell today and noticed something. 2 or 3 people in the LA community at this event made comments that the Lakers never give back like this. I've lived in LA but wasn't involved enough to notice. Are we really the only ones who do these events or are the people misinformed?

If this is indeed true we definitely have some good Karma coming our way.

^^^ I don't know. I've definitely seen recent press coverage showing Laker players doing charitable stuff. I've seen Lakers serving food at soup kitches on thanksgiving and visting childrens' hospitals, etc. I don't know how much of that is driven by the organization or by player initiative, but either way, I think its pretty hard to say the Lakers aren't making charitable contributions. Heck, Artest won the NBA citizenship award this year, so he must have been out there contributing to the community in some way.

And, not to sound too cynical, but wouldn't the Clippers good Karma for doing charity work potentially be cancelled out by the other dirty stuff DTS does?

Very good question on Sterling LOL. Sterling probably created a Karma deficit a million times over.

We got Blake. If that doesn't suggest that the karmic wheel has turned, despite DTS, I don't know what would.

I really like how the Clipper Spirit girls are helping out too. I wonder when was the last time any Laker girl helped out like that.

Good things come to those who wait. We have Blake, so now we just have to wait and see what else we can acquire.

Also, the girl at 2:39 has the cutest little voice!

I replayed that part just to look at the Clippers girls again. LOL. No but it is pretty cool that they helped too.

I'm pretty sure that these people know what they're talking about when they say the lakers don't do this kind of stuff, they look like they WOULD know about this kind of stuff (not being mean).......

on a side note: I think blake has banged every clipper girl on the squad, just sayin Wink

I wouldn't say every girl...probably like 85% of them, lol.

No but really, Blake can reasonably have any girl he wants so I wouldn't doubt it.

The players get into serious trouble porking the cheerleaders. BUT Hendrix once said his life was difficult because there were at least three naked girls waiting by his door.

can you say FOXY LADY?

Poor Jimi. Rough life. But I kind of see his point. I have a hard enough time dealing with one woman. Dealing with dozens (hundreds?) could be pretty overwhelming.

Also, considering how many groupies must be available, I could see why hooking up with the team's cheerleaders would be frowned upon. Why mess around in your own house when you can do it elsewhere?

^^ Agreed. If women are easily available, why would I put myself in an awkward situation at work for? The last thing I want is a part-timer misconstruing a night of fun for a lifelong commitment. No one needs that stress. I bet most players don't do that. Why worry about some jealous cheerleader looking at the stands every time Blake dunks and looks at the fans? lol

Oh, and actually, the Lakers usually do go, but it's usually just Derek Fisher and a few others. The Clippers didn't really use to go till Baron Joined the Clippers. He use to live a few blocks away and its the closest Salvation Army to his old home.
