Bledsoe absolutely flew through those cones for that layup. Doesn't look like Summer league or first half of last season butterfingers Bledsoe. Good to see Blake and DJ leading the charge there. These guys made it back to the gym about 3 weeks after the season started. I think we are going to have a big year next season. Please don't let there be a lockout.

I'm with you, my gut says the Clippers are in for a historic season. All the pieces are there.

Come on 82 game season.

Cheers. I too think we are going to shut a lot of haters up. All the Clipper bashing is going to turn into Clippers love and ass kissing. I'm remembering all the people who talk sh** too. I'm going to rub it in their face.

Long live Blake Griffin.

I hear you. Not a whole lot of NBA fans here, but I've been getting a lot of strange looks around town whenever I wear any Clippers gear, especially during playoff time. (Mostly a lot of "whoever's hot" jumpers here. I sure saw a lot of Kobe jerseys around for those 2 weeks they were in the playoffs)

I'd love to see what they think once it's clear the Clippers have turned the tide.

Noticed that EJ wasn't there. Not a huge deal but he doesn't seem close with the rest of the team

You can definitely tell Blake has been working out, I mean just look at his shirt! It looks like someone poured a bucket of water on him.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what improvements Aminu has made.

Chris and Eric stay home most of the Summer. Chris I guess has his own Clippers court and trainers that work out with him in Michigan and so does Eric in Indiana. Eric mentioned he has a personal trainer, chef and other baller friends who he trains with in Indiana all summer.

Maybe they don't want to be in LA, they'd rather be home. If you're a country boy like CK LA could suck.

Yes and no. Would definitely help but remember assuming lockout doesn't prevent it they have to go through training camp, summer league AND preseason together so this is just a 2 month or so vacation. Though this year I think preseason was already canceled. I think the only benefit of working with the team is to build chemistry. From a fitness standpoint Chris can get it in Michigan and Eric in Indiana.

Man that was an ugly banker by Aminu, lmao. I'm impresed that he's decided to stay in LA the entire summer to improve, though. Very impressed.

I don't think there has been any news of preseason being cancelled (at least I hope not!) but there has already been a statement saying that summer league was cancelled. I hope you confused the two, lol

I don't know if the Clippers really have "haters." I think its probably more "mockers." I don't know that we've ever been good enough to have haters. But either way, I'm also hopeful this next season is going to change things.

I have a bad feeling the season would start until sometime in January unfortunately due to the BIG separation between the 2 parties....hopefully I'm wrong. And as far the big season next year it, won't happen unless the weaknesses (SF, improved defense/less T.O's) are addressed.....especially if the season is shorten (50 or less games).

His biceps look a little bit bigger. It might just be the angle of the way he is standing though.

By the way, I've never noticed how tall Madelyn really is.

It not unusual for players to scatter for awhile after the season ends and then they come back together later. So don't ready to much into EJ wanting to go home for awhile. As for Laker fans who mock and hate, I just had a conversation on a thread over at Lakers TopBuzz about this very thing. The thread was about "Would you switch" from a Laker fan to a Clipper fan if the the Lakers fell into mediocrity. Most Laker fans wouldn't, but then the hate talk comes out in some of the guys. I gave them a polite tongue lashing. Every fans gets to decide if they want to participate in that or not. When you go to a Lakers-Clippers game at Staples all I see are thousands of fans having lots of fun sitting right next to each other. And many of them secretly pull for both teams, well except for when they are playing each other.

Summer league is definitely off, but the Clippers already posted a preseason schedule on their website a few days ago. Of course, if the lockout lasts beyond October, it's a moot point.

Don they are so full of sh** on LTB. They were saying in that thread how coming on CTB and seeing our hatred for them is what makes them not root for the Clippers now? How about the fact that since the time we became Clipper fans we have had to deal with Lakers fans bullsh** and abuse.

I like a few of those guys on LTB but they have to realize a few of us including myself go to LTB and browse and see all their garbage Clipper jokes. Threads ranging from Blake Griffin jumping ship to us trading the top draft pick... to us getting Mo Williams there has been a thread there with members blasting the Clippers and their fans. I've tried to be a neutral supporter of the Lakers but it's hard to do when you know Lakers fans can't wait to see the Clippers fail. If they have that attitude towards my team I'm not going to root for the Lakers. Goes both ways.

They need to realize it's a two way street.

i dont think so.. i think it would be worse for the older teams out there... SA BOS and LAL specificllly. the longer their old guys sit out the less lkely they are going to be to come back in as good of shape, while blake and the youngsters would come back in just as good of shape..Things like having a familly and kids and age all wear on you when your older and the clips dont have that to worry about.. as far as chemistry goes i think our guys are doing a lot to stay together.

Repped High Quality Post

I think it would have the opposite effect like Jered said. A young team like ours can use all the time in the world to stay fresh and build chemistry and train with the coaches. An older team is hurt by it more because they play worse with long layoffs and have nothing to gain really from more offseason time together.

The team getting together to practice is a very good sign. I especially want to see Kaman there in peak condition. I don't kow what he does during the offseason, but my guess is that his injuries are probably stemming from a lack of proper conditioning during the offseason. This was Baron's problem and I suspect that Kaman probably has the same issue.

I also hope that during these practice sessions Blake works on his defense and assists. He really doesn't need to score anymore than 20 points per game, and he would help the team more by improving the assist and defensive stats. I would hope that he molds his game after Lebron James

Bledsoe needs to work on a few things too. Particularly slowing down. He bolts down the lane and uses his speed at his own detriment. If you guys all watched the games he would run down the court so fast that he would launch a bullet of a pass that no one could catch. If he learns to slow down we can see major improvement from him.

Aminu needs the biggest improvement among anyone in the squad.

Hello Clipper Family!!!! Long time follower of CTB, and Def. long time Clipper fan (1992-1993). Going way back to D.Manning, R.Harper, L.Vought, G.Grant, M.Jackson etc.....Elmore Spencer (SMH) Shocked LoL. Not sure if I introduce myself on a new thread or in this fashion but here goes, I'm a very pasionate Clipper fan and I will go toe to toe with any part time Lamer fan to get my point across in regards to comparing our Clippers and their Lamers. Very true we've had the toughest of roads to travel with DTS and E.Baylor for years with a sub par rosters and the lame show well they've had all the glory. But even then I have made it clear that I would never support the purple and old, not because I hate the lamers as a franchise but because they have the most arrogant spoiled fan bases in the league!!!!! Over on LTB they talk about would u switch and root for the Clippers and they all talk about y??? they've had the best draft picks and let them go. Well i would disagree with that thought and ofcourse I have to cut them some slack since they are not followers of our team that they don't know what they are talking about!! Adside from B.Griffin and E.Gordon we haven't had anyone worthy of max $$$$ (Not B.Barry, L.Wright "R.I.P", M.Taylor,L.Murray and the Candy Man (SMFH)..Another is the were going to get Blake Griffin in a couple of years but little do they know that nobody is gonna be left for Griffin to play with over on that cheap team!! And one more is the IQ these lamer clowns have and that is to have the nerves to dream up a scenario were all they gotta do is trade bum knees over rated Bynum and a bag of beans for D.Howard LMAO wake up!! Pau Gasol and Artest for CP3 and Ariza!!!! They actually believe that EVERYBODY wan'ts to play for the lame show maybe they are nervous when they see the Clipper roster and with 1 or 2 additions how scary the Clippers can be!!!!!!! Well again I originally wanted to introduce myself "AirForce32" but when I hear Lamer fans talking smack i get very intense and passionate to defend my team, and seeing the guys working out together is a great sign for the upcoming season!!! Have a nice fellas. Very Happy

Blake is already a very good passer. I would say that's one of the strongest parts of his game, especially for a power forward but I suppose he could get even better at passing...

I agree about his defense. He also needs to continue to work on that mid range jumper, and his post moves.

I agree with cliptonyte, and how would one work on their passing by just being in a gym by themselves? I think passing just comes ones court vision and ones chemistry with their teammates, not how much time they work on bounce passing a ball to themselves lol

Will DTS be forced to shut the practice facility in case of a lockout? I know that with the NFL lockout players can not use any team facilities.

If our group stays healthy this next season we should be a playoff team.

^ thats exactly what it will mean.. the player will be "locked out" of the facilties. If they decide they want to play together they will have to do so on their own time.. maybe we dont get rid of kaman so everyone can go stay at his house and play on his Clipper court in the back yard all summer haha

EJ is back at the training center! http://www.nba.com/clippers/video/2011/05/31/Gordon-1721250/index.html

I was worried he wouldnt come in and would be left out of the mix from building chemistry with our core guys! Glad to see him back puttin in work with the guys!

Woohoo EJ! Check the interview. He says the two things he wants to work on most are his ball-handling skills and developing a post game. That's probably spot on with what most of us here on CTB would want him to do. Smile
