Amazing heart and determination (and of course, basketball skill) by CP3. Here's an article by TJ Simers today about Chris, his Grandpa, and family values:

This has been the best one of the set Slimers has done (the set he si doing on our guys). I still think he did more of a hatchet job on Mo,,,but this one is a good read (I enjoyed the Caron one also).

If I compare Caron's article to CP3s, Slimers really shows a different side of them by using thier youth to point out how they got here. With Mo all he watned to do was bring up total negative crap and never did anything like he did with the other two guys by delving into his (mo's) youth.

kobe would've sank the free throw and went for the record lol

story aside, you dont find NBAers as genuinely good-hearted like CP.

btw, the way he speaks kinda reminds me of the corniness victor ortiz spits out. (not a jab at CP, but at ortiz)

Priceless find. Thanks for sharing. I never saw it when it was originally posted back in July last year.

This is ALSO why Chris Paul is a G.

Ralph Lawler (6 hours ago)

In flight with Clippers from Charlotte to Dallas. Chris Paul has rented a movie theater in Dallas - he's taking our entire traveling party to a private screening of the new Denzel Washington film - Safe House tonight.

i agree that cp3 is one of the most honest, good hearted and down to earth players in the league.

victoria ortiz (yes, i dislike that guy for not showing heart) should not be mentioned in the same sentence or in the same breath as cp3. for one, if ortiz had the competitive fire of cp3, he would be undefeated. id compare cp3 to brandon rios. both are winners, true to themselves and they leave it all on the court and the ring respectively.

great vid by the way. thats why i hope cp3 and BG lead our clips to our first championship. they both deserve it as does clips nation.

Unbelievable how some of us (including me) were pissed that we gave up so much for CP3. Look at the trade now:

  1. Eric Gordon: Feel bad for Eric but feel good for us. The prize of the trade was Gordon. He played two games and went down with injury. Now 10 weeks later, he's going under the knife for arthroscopic surgery. Out at least 6 more weeks....This means he'll miss the entire season most likely. Wow!

Sidenote, I firmly believe that if Eric and his agent wouldn't have been ridiculously greedy in the amount of money he wanted in his extension, there's no trade and we resign him. He'll be lucky to get 10mil per year and we most likely would have signed him for 12mil per. Injury prone player demanding the max. He screwed himself.

  1. Kaman: They actually told him to get away from the team for two weeks while they put him on the open market. Nobody bites. They may just lose him to free agency in the summer. Wowsers!

  2. Aminu: Bust City. He barely gets minutes on one of the worst teams in the league today.

  3. Minny Pick: They're sitting at the 12th pick right now and could still make the playoffs. Not exactly the guaranteed #1 pick that everyone expected. LOL!!!

We robbed Stern. Olshey is the man.

^^^ Yeah, like I said in another thread, the only "bad" move Olshey has made since becoming GM was drafting Aminu. But he wiped that mistake out with the CP trade. Everything else he's done has been solid to great. (And, yes, I'm including the Gomes and Foye signings, which were very reasonable moves considering the position the team was in at the time).
