The Spurs have Duncan and Ginobili in their last years. If they thought (or think) Parker can give them enough for another run, they would keep their team together and make that run. I think they know Parker is past it as a championship level PG...

The only way we should be taking a player over 28 is if he's a SF on a couple year rental while we're waiting to see if Aminu becomes anythng.

no way. we can definately get better players from trading kaman and williams. besides, why would we want two players who are in the decline and who cant shoot a consistent long range jumper. hell, kaman can shoot much better than richard jefferson.

Parker and Jefferson were two of the four pieces that led the Spurs to the best record in the West this year, and now they're over the hill? Richard Jefferson can't shoot? 44% from 3 last year, that translates to "he can't shoot"??

Both of these guys have been to the Finals, one of them is a Champion and a Finals MVP. WE DON'T NEED YOUTH. We have Blake Griffin, DeAndre Jordan, and Eric Gordon. We need experienced veterans with a championship pedigree to take us to the next level.

Tony Parker

Eric Gordon

Richard Jefferson

Blake Griffin

DeAndre Jordan

They're hardly a lock, but you're telling me that starting 5 has no chance of making it to the Finals?? That is an excellent team right there.

And one more thing, Kaman is not very valuable. 32 games played last year, 12.4 points, 7.4 rebounds. How is that better than any other center in the league? Plus he's making 12,000.000 dollars. Why do people still think this guy is valuable? He hasn't been valuable for two years.

I prefer to get a CP3 and take back okafor's bad deal for Kaman and Mo, but that deal would have to include the Minny pick and probably more. Yet if we can get TP (who I think is a huge upgrade over Mo) and RJ (I do think he's overpaid and his best years are behind him,yet is an upgrade over Gomes) and don't lose the Minny pick, Bledsoe nor Aminu I think it's a good move. Yea we lose Kaman( who I still like) but he seems like he's out of the loop and no longer seems to want to be here. Also the salaries are not too far off (in terms of yearly money) and would leave us in a position to make addittional moves.

Kaman's true value comes in the form of an expiring contract.

And also if he likes he team and the team likes him, he could re-sign there for a decent price if he's healthy he'll really help whoever he ends up with.

The thing is Kaman would not want to make less money than DJ and doesn't see himself playing second fiddle to DJ. Honestly from Kaman's perspective I can understand to some degree, DJ can't even make his free throws and has a raw offensive game. Would you feel, if you were in Kaman's position, that you should be making less money than him and be coming off the bench?

I would love to have Kaman here, but he doesn't want to be downplayed. He is in his prime years right now and is not going to stay for that reason. Plus, I was told by my brother who actually knows a very good friend of Kaman's that VDN tried to send him to the locker room one game for getting upset about his minutes and Kaman told him "You and what army are going to take me to the locker room?". I love Kaman and liked how he stood his ground, however, he see's himself as a starter which is fair if he is healthy, but I can tell you now, he isn't going to sign for anything less than we're going to give DJ.

Kaman is gone whether its through trade or until his contract is up. I wish him the best of luck wherever he does land though.

We all know Kaman is gone, but with a new CBA set to be put in play, I doubt he gets a 12 million dollar contract again. Kaman may enjoy a change of scenery, and like the team he's on and take a mid level deal to stay there and start. Thats what I meant.

Say Kaman were traded to Philly for Igoudala, say straight up. Philly may in fact be as good if not a better team. + he's with his old buddy Elton Brand. Kaman may choose to re-sign there for a mid level deal so he can get a few extra years of getting paid pretty good cash. Kaman is more than capable of giving a team 12-18 points, 8-12 boards and 1-3 blocks a game, play solid on both ends of the floor and hit his free throws, he's just gotta stay healthy.

People need to realize, every single second that ticks forward makes Kaman that much more valuable because of his contract. And every day he gets thru without an injury makes him more valuable. Now were not talking hitting the jackpot valuable but far more valuable than most outrageous expiring contracts in the past like Joel Pryzbilla's etc. Kaman can actually contribute and has made an All-Star team even if he was a reserve.

Ahh I see what your saying. Thought you meant for our team and although I would like to see that, he just isn't going to get that deal from us.

I know he's not going to get $12 mill a year again, but I could see a team offering $7-8 mill a year for his services.

If the CBA stays the same, he'll probably get about the same or slightly less in my opinion. Although, I think he'll probably get one that is incentive based like Camby did in Denver. If it drops, I see he getting anywhere from 8-10 million. When healthy, there no one that can do what he does from outside the paint. He'll get paid.

I can't see Kaman honestly getting more than 8 mill a year even if healthy. He'll be 30 and a few months when its free agent time and given his recent history ( unless he plays 70+ for us next year ) his value will go down a bit. Although there are teams retarded enough to shovel out big time cash for even the frail players like Kaman.

LoL. Too bad the Bucks already have Bogut and nothing that would benefit the Clippers. I could see them being dumb enough.

Only reason I could see any potential trade with Milwaukee is if we sent Kaman, Minny pick and possibly Aminu or Bledsoe for Brandon Jennings and fillers. I'm not quite sure we need another shooting style PG here. Jennings is terrific and I think he'll be much better as the years go on, but he's REALLY streaky at times and that'd be something very scary to deal with.

I'm content with Mo and Bledsoe running the point while Bledsoe develops, holding onto Kaman and that Minnesota draft pick for a better deal.

Taylor you are a pretty sharpe dude, but I think you are way off on that one. Jennings is good but not worth the Minny pick,Kaman etc. I think giving up the pick alone may be too much. I would though do Mo and Kaman for Parker. Even if we had to take back RJs bad contract. We would still have the Minny pick and we would have a very nice upgrade at PG.

I don't know Taylor, looking at the stats, "terrific" is not the word that springs to mind when considering Jennings. If you were serious the trade you propose is the kind that made the old Clipper rep. That last statement about awaiting a better deal makes much more sense.
