I found out this interesting fact and thought I'd throw it out as a trivia question for all you die-hard Clippers fans:

Who is the only person to be affiliated with the Clippers franchise in all three cities in the organization's history (Buffalo, San Diego, and Los Angeles)?

I would say Bill Walton.

While Walton did join the Clippers in their second season in San Diego and moved with the team to Los Angeles, he never played for the team when they were still in Buffalo.

Here's a hint: the person was only a player for the team in one of the cities, but had other positions in the other two cities.

And we have a winner!

Bob Weiss played for the Buffalo Braves during their kick-ass years, when they made the playoffs three years in a row and got to the second round against the Celtics. He joined the team in the 74-75 season and played in two of those playoff years.

He was later the assistant coach for the Clippers during their first season in San Diego. He was the only assistant to Gene Shue that year.

In the 93-94 season, Weiss became the head coach for the Los Angeles Clippers.

I wish I had a prize to offer for this, but all I have to offer is kudos for a job well done.

lol, well it was an interesting question i never thought of. i just remember bob weiss having the duty of coaching a clipper team that was fresh off its first playoff appearance and had just traded away its mojo (danny manning). it was the beginning of the joke that became the 90s LA clippers.

i had no clue he was an assistant in san diego. interesting!
