I just wanted to take a minute to remember those innocents who died in the 9/11 attacks. This includes the incredibly brave Firemen and Police Officers who rushed into the buildings without thinking twice. You didn't have to do this but you were a true example of what love is all about. Love is saving another human without knowing who they are or what they may have done in their lives good or bad. If only all people lived like this the world would be a much better place.
I also want to thank the soldiers who serve this country every day and keep our borders safe. Without you many more attacks like 9/11 would happen.
Let's also not forget the absolutely heroic every day citizens who saved lives or made a huge difference by sheltering others. The ones who fed and clothed those left without a home. Those who adopted children without parents due to 9/11. The people who worked 12 hour days clearing rubble as their hands bled.. and their bodies were exhausted.
The group of athletes who banded together to overtake the terrorists of Flight 93 and made sure it didn't reach it's intended target. Those guys deserve a special round of applause. Not trained to handle that type of situation yet they planned it just right and saved the lives of so many. They weren't worried about saving their own... but about not letting the terrorists win and kill more. This is the kind of attitude we should all have. We can't let terrorism and evil win.
The only way to do this is to unite. Be a nation of people who truly loves each other. No matter what differences we have. The one thing we all have in common is that we are American. That we are all Human Beings. It shouldn't take a huge disaster to bring you together with strangers. Start making more of an effort to get to know everyone around you. Start doing nice things for people who may not deserve it. Remember the fallen of 9/11 and what they would have done. How they would have lived life differently if they had known sooner what love really was. Sacrificing your life for people who didn't know you existed. Remember the fallen.
