| That deal works for everybody BUT the Clippers. No way, Jose! We give up Thomas, Williams, and Dickau. [Thomas has been playing GREAT] for two low payed guys. |

| I agree with laclippers- no way we'd do that deal. It seems in this huge trade that we're more in there just to help out the other teams. |

Corey Maggette, Cuttino Mobley, Brevin Knight, Aaron Williams
for
Jason Kidd, Bostjan Nachbar (contract expires at the end of yr - cap room!)
The would be awesome, I think...
PG: Kidd, Cassell, Dickau, Livingston (inj.)
SG: Ross, Nachbar
SF: Thornton
PF: Thomas, Powell, Brand (inj.)
C: Kaman, Davis (inj.)
now imagine next year WHEN HEALTHY (and sam gone )
PG: Kidd/Livingston/3RD PG
SG: Ross/2ND SG
SF: Thomas/Thornton -- 1 of these two would be the 6th man
PF: Brand/Powell
C: Kaman, Davis
Picking up a nice draft pick, a SG Free Agent, and a 3rd PG....This trade I believe would help and strengthen next year's team |

wait a minute...LAC 12...I'm sure we would all agree that Kidd is better than Cassell (although I love Cassell)....and if Cassell took the team to the playoffs and made Brand an MVP Contender, Kidd could exceed that...now don't forget....they would still be able to pick up a decent gaurd in the off season....
doesn't matter, this trade wouldn't happen, but I think this trade would make the Clippers a huge threat...that starting lineup: Kidd, Ross (top 5 defender in league), Thornton, Brand Kaman with Tim Thomas and Livingston (assuming he plays well), and a SG they pick up in the offseason....that would be a solid 7-8 players...my opinion |
