Hey all,

I take a look at where things stand - then break down each team under the last proposal:

NBA: Looking Ahead

Thanks

Amnesting Kaman would be a bad decision. It would have to be Gomes or don't use it at all.

if the clippers had a free agent to sign who would come - or a team who would trade a big star but didn't want any salary back - you can make a deal where you amnesty kaman then send away the minny pick without including any players - that wouldn't be worth it? Say it was Chris Paul? Not saying that opportunity would come up - but it's one of many possible scenarios.

you wouldn't waive kaman outright - but if the chance came to use that cap space - that he could create as an amnesty cut - instead of direct trade, then why not if the return is right?

If we wanted to dump Kaman's contract there are plenty of teams that would be willing to take him off our hands. The Hawks for example would love to have Kaman so they could move Horford to PF and Smith to SF.

The best bet would be to pocket the amnesty until next summer. We don't need the cap space right now. Next year we could check the availability of the big 3 available and could use it on Mo to open up more cap space.

i agree.. kaman is a good Center.. i would keep him if he would like to get a cut in his next contract.. 6 mill a year i think would be great to have a Ower bigs rotating.. with DJ kaman BG

There is NO way kaman should get less money than DJ...No way.

I can see a team overpaying for DJ because of his age/potential and underpaying for Kaman because he's almost 30 and injury issues in the past.
