The Memphis Grizzlies will send Pau Gasol and a future second-round pick to the Lakers for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, the unofficially retired Aaron McKie , the draft rights to Pau Gasol's brother Marc and future first-round picks in 2008 and 2010, NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein.
The Lakers are making big changes!!!

| No! We need to stay put till we see what we have with Brand aboard. It's not like we have a lot to offer and most importantly, we will not get equal value for what we can offer. Lets stay put and evaluate at the end of the season. |

| It's a great trade for the Lakers short term, but you have to question Gasol's long term viability health wise. He always seems to get injured. I sure hope there's no knee-jerk reaction by the Clippers to feel like now they have to make a trade in desperation. |

Let's see. He has had some injuries but Pau isn't Marcus Camby although is true that he's playing every year the whole NBA season plus the national games with Spain and as we always arrive to the finals ...He plays too much games (maybe 100 per year??? and 30 minutes??so you just have to take the calculator)
But I still don't know how Pau could mix in the lakers...I've some doubts. Pau was a PF when arrived to the league. He was quicker, more agile...Along the years people in Memphis wanted Pau as a center and he developed more weight becoming a slower player but a player who could use his body to make a space for himself inside the zone. I have no doubt Pau is very intelligent playing the game and he'll be trained by the best coach ever so the process it's gonna be easier, but I don't know how he'll work playing as a PF because it seems that the center position will be for Andrew Bynum...If he has to guard PFs, they will be much quicker than him and furthermore Pau is a bad defender so HE WILL HAVE LOTS OF PROBLEMS...believe me
We must remain patient looking the best option for our future without thinking what are our city neighbours doing...[/code] |

Clippers have no room to make trades this year. I would understand if they were legitimate contenders, but at this point, we have more questions than answers......
Will Elton Brand resign?
Will Corey Maggette resign?
Sam Cassell is on his way out....
Cat Mobley.......is what he is
Tim Thomas.....is a product of the Phoenis Suns system...and is considered fools gold.
Q. Ross.....is what he is
Livingston..........Have no idea how he is going to perform
Clips need a PG, and a shooting guard
