And what does it say of the Grizzlies? Well, it says that they’re bleeding financial losses, desperate to strip payroll and make themselves more attractive for a potential buyer. They’re shopping guard Mike Miller throughout the league too, sources say, and it’s just a matter of time until they’ve stripped themselves to the core. Essentially, they’re the Vancouver Grizzlies again.
Yahoo Sports
We could send Q Ross and Cassel for Miller.
we could also throw Aaron Williams |

I don't think Miller is quite right for this team. he is a pretty good player 16 PPG 3 T.O. A Game Can't get to the line like Maggette.
Gotta say no. |

| We are always asking for a shooter and Mike Miller is a pure shooter...So Gette for Miller could be great for us IMO |

| Corey for Miller would be good for us, assuming Thornton is ready to step in at the 3. In fact it would be ideal, as Miller is one of the better all-round SG's in the league. Definite pure shooter. But would it be good for Memphis? They'd save a million or so on the contracts for a player only a year older, BUT... they'd get another slasher at the 3, something that they probably think they've pretty much got covered with Rudy Gay, who they really seem to like, and with good reason. That makes me seriously doubt the idea, or at least their interest in it, unless it was part of a multiple team deal. As to their making the team more attractive to prospective buyers, the "off the books" contract stuff is usually reserved for lesser players, or players past their prime, neither of which Corey is, so that likely wouldn't be the motivation, and since they don't need him to fill a missing element... I don't see it happening. Nice to think of Miller as a Clipper and that potential line-up though. |

There's a very good reason why MM is on the FIBA team. This guy can flat out shoot the rock, way better than anyone the Clippers currently have. He's an excellent foul shooter and not too shabby at going strong to the paint. He's the perfect complimentary player to Thornton, Brand, and Kaman. Thornton is ready to be the starting SF for the team and possibly that closer at the end of games. Trust me guys, Al has IT. Something CM and not even EB has. It's that drive inside to do whatever it takes to will his team to victory.
Teams will have to pick their poison between Al, EB, and Kaman, leaving someone like Miller open to shoot threes ala Peja Stojakovic kicking our butt with 4 threes in a row a few weeks ago. Grizzlies may or may not keep CM if they trade for him. If they want expiring contracts, then Cassell would be the better trade bait and not CM assuming CM doesn't opt out in Memphis. Clippers need to give up anyone not named Thornton, EB, and Kaman to get Miller. If things go well, 08-09 Clippers will be an exciting team to watch with a line-up of:
Kaman
Brand
Thornton
Miller
Quality PG TBD |

Maggette for Miller in a heart beat..........Memphis would od it cause Corey has an expiring contract.
Starting 5 would be
PG-Livingston
SG-Mike Miller
PF- Elton Brand
SF-Al Thornton
C- Chris Kaman
I can see it now..........EB or Kaman on the double team......dishes out to Miller......Miller from way down town.............and he nails it!
