Um... huh? This is incredibly confusing. So he only needed 2 months off and has already been out 2 and not back? Confused.

I'm guessing it's 6-8 weeks from today.

that sucks, but hopefully give him sometime to recoup and slow down and really learn the game. Now we could really use Billups!

Okay dude I'm changing your title... it's incredibly off and will likely confuse/panic people excited to see Bledsoe. The guy reporting this didn't have his facts straight. He's either back now or about to come back.

Wrong. He'll be out 6-8 weeks from today. This info was from the Clips reporter for the LA Times. It's already been 8 weeks from October 7th.

If that was the case... why did he come back an hour later and apologize for tweet and say surgery was 2 months ago? He's misinformed. I'm pretty sure I saw Bledsoe in training camp pics.

Because he left the players name out and it was driving everyone crazy.

Still doesn't make sense. If he's out 6-8 weeks yet this guy is reporting he had the surgery on Oct 7th.. it means he should be back right now.

It's been 8 weeks since Oct 7th.

Per Clippers - Bledsoe had surgery 10/7 - out 6-8 wks (starting now) - given lockout I'm not sure any way Clippers could have legally known

Okay thank you. Much clearer! Glad Pincus cleared it up. Thanks Hooch for reporting. I'll change title back. Man that sucks! I was really wanting to see him play and he definitely needs training camp.

Makes me wonder if we'll put a claim in on Billups.

Yup Andrew. Lucky for us... our guard depth is strong enough with Mo, Gordon, Foye. Problem is all of them are injury prone LMAO.

If that's true, he's going to miss 30 games over the course of 2 months. We need another PG. We are almost 6 million under the cap. Bid it all for Billups. Salty dude. A lot like Cassel when we got him except on this team we have a lot more talent to surround him with. I doubt Chauncey would decide to retire when he could come to LA for one season and start for us.

No way the team didn't know about this until today. Either there's a stopgap measure in place or he'll be back sooner than this report states. Does anyone think there is really NO contact (even via a third party) during a lockout? That's just f'ing stupid. It hurts teams and players.

Shame we won't see Bledsoe for a while - and today's his birthday, by the way - but other than that, the organization has it covered one way or another.

Do the math on 6-8 weeks from today. Season starts on 25th. How the heck is he going to miss 30 games? Unless the Clippers play 2-3 games on some days.

You're right. I was thinking 3.5 games per week X 8 weeks. So he'll miss 10-15 games.

I want Billups regardless though! It would be only for one season and could be the difference between playoffs or no playoffs....Once we're in post season, his value is even higher.

Yea. 10-15 games man. That's like 2-3 weeks tops. No need to jump and sign Billups. I like him... but that means Bledsoe won't get a chance. It means Mo will be a 6th man... and Foye less burn. I just think Billups isn't ideal based on the circumstances.

billups would want to go to a contender at this point. He'd rather retire than come here, imo

Wouldn't surprise me if he'd be happy to come here... problem is, someone's going to bid at least half his salary (what's that, like 6mil?)

Let's tough out the Bledsoe setback and focus on getting our core extended... No Drama in the locker room.
